Arrival Story:
For the last few months, we've had a wonderful calico kitty hanging out in our backyard. We named her Cali. Two months ago, she gave birth to three beautiful little kittens. We've been watching them grow, and watching Cali be an awesome mama cat... keeping an eye on them, feeding them, and best of all, introducing them to us, and letting us get close to them. The kittens have been stay under our house at nighttime and when it rains. Well, last Friday night, one or more wild dogs came into our yard (I was sleeping, and didn't hear anything), and Cali stood her ground. I'm so sad to say that she lost... a dog got her and she died protecting her babies. We know this because my husband found her body near the opening where the cats go in and out under the house. Thankfully, the kittens are OK. My husband buried Cali on Saturday morning under her favorite tree in our yard. This week has been rough for us, needless to say. My husband called Cali 'mom', and she was his little buddy. Tonight (Thurs, July 12), we rounded up the kittens, and now they are in a spare room in our house; safe, and away from those bad dogs!! Yes, I mentioned THREE kittens, but the picture only shows two. This is because one of them has been adopted by a friend of ours, and is now part of a wonderful family. Thanks for checking out our page. meow! meow!

Spot and Kashmir have found their furrever homes, and they are very happy and healthy. Of course I miss them, and it was hard to say goodbye. Thank you again for all of the love and support to Spot and Kashmir... purrs and headbonks to all!!

She says that she's grown quite attached to us. Yeah, we love her too! So, a big THANK YOU to all of the kitties and their parents out there who have been helping us and supporting us along the way. We appreciate it so much!!

Today we were allowed to explore the entire house, how cool! We met the other kitties, who seemed a little nervous at first. We all sniffed one another, and then we played. Wow, these kitties have the coolest toys! We are having so much fun here. Please keep us in your thoughts, and if you know anyone who would like to adopt a kitten or two, please contact our foster family. We'll love you FOREVER!!

Today was our first visit to the veterinarian. Our people had to 'wrangle' us into the kitty crate, but once we got in there, it wasn't so bad. Foster Daddy drove us to the doctor, car rides are fun!
The vet confirmed that we are both little girl kitties, and Foster Mommy was ecstatic to learn that we are 100% healthy and parasite-free. She said that when we are finally ready to be pet, that she's going to give us big hugs! Hmmm, what are hugs? Are they good??
We are still in the spare bedroom for the next week or so. We're looking forward to venturing out into the rest of the house. We have heard that there are FOUR other kitties in the house; oh boy, we can't wait to meet them! We sure hope they like to play as much as we do!!
It's been such a LONG day, and we're happy to be back home this evening, resting on our favorite blankets and kitty beds. Nightie night!
