Rabbit - Delish!

My mom bought me a super special treat, canned food made of rabbit! Meow! My mom was a bit grossed out by it, but the store owner assured her that I would love it. She wasn't kidding, I didn't let any other cat (or dog) even look at me while I was eating that stuff. Yum, yum, yum...

Snugglefest 2005

My dad & I had Snugglefest 2005 yesterday. He claims I almost crushed his ribcage...what's the problem, I'm only 20 lbs?!?! My mom said that I look like I'm still growing bigger every day.

The fur between my toes is getting very long now that it's winter. I need it to protect my paws from the snow (well, if we had snow in So Cal) - besides I think it's sexy. My winter coat is now extra thick and luxurious. I should be a print model for cat shampoo or something. I'll have my mom take a new pic of me so you all can see my glorious coat :)

Meowy Christmas & Happy New Year!

Hi everyone. I hope you all had a good Christmas. Oscar & I had a great one! Sandy Paws brought us lots of toys - yarn balls, a fleece octopus, catnip, furry mice, and furry catnip dots. We played upstairs in the Oscararium all day long.

We have a little girl living in the Oscararium now, which suits us just fine! She loves to pet me and snuggle with me. Can't beat that!

I'll write more soon, I have to go meow!

A new job for me...

I wonder if they let cats work for Merrick? If so, I should really apply to be a taste tester!

On Wednesday, when my mom was sick, she managed to open a can of Grammy's Pot Pie wet food for me (with some difficulty, I might add due to her stomach flu). She claims that I was supposed to share it, but I think she's just teasing. I ate the WHOLE thing all by myself and I am not ashamed! It was tasty!!

Then, on Thanksgiving, I got to eat the Thanksgiving Day wet food, again - supposed to share, but this time Oscar did get to eat at least some of it. I can't help it - it's so good!

Today, my mom was getting ready for her shower and I was waving my paw frantically under the door to get her attention. When she opened the door, I told her in Squirrel that I loved her, and started to mark her & purr my head off.

Biscuits and Brushing

On Saturday morning, after my mom took the wretched dog to doggie daycare, she picked up a biscuit from McDonald's for breakfast. I'm not sure if any of you have ever had this, but you really should go tell your parents to get it for you ASAP! As soon as I smelled the sweet smell of junk food, I ran to her side and gave her my sweetest meow and head butted her (this usually works when I want something). And just like a charm, she broke off a small (too small in my opinion) piece of her biscuit and gave it to me. It was delicious!

After she finished her breakfast, she pulled out the kitty brush and began to brush me. I rolled over several times to make sure she got everything, espcially my tummy. Now my fur looks extra nice for Thanksgiving!

Aaaa-aaa--a-a-aah (not sure how this translates from- Squirrel to English)

It is getting colder and I'm glad I have my luxurious fur to keep me warm. My mom gave me lots of petting and love today. I put the charm on extra thick in hopes of getting more treats, which worked, of course. I spoke at length to my mom using my native language of Squirrel, unfortunately my mom does not understand or speak Squirrel fluently and just smiled at me in a confused way.

Fortune

Today was a good day. I got to snuggle with my parents a lot (morning & evening, can't beat that!), without the dog harassing me.

This evening, when I was snuggling with my dad, Sparky & Luna, my mom came in to pet us too. She was petting my silken fur, (it is a pleasure!), when she noticed something in my fur.

She then proceeded to pull out a fortune cookie fortune from my fur. It reads, "Invest, but never speculate". This is strange because we don't remember eating chinese food lately, and I never go outside!

Weird...

I like food, food is good

I wish I could eat all the time. No, make that eat 70% of the time, and sleep the other 30%. My mom keeps teasing me by bringing food home with her. Last night she brought home something in a brown paper bag that smelled really good and greasy. She yelled at me when I stuck my head in the bag. I showed her though, when she wasn't looking I stole the meat out of her sandwich and ate it. Ha!

Today I've been in a snuggly mood. I mostly slept on top of the television with SparkyLou and Luna, but I managed to massage and kiss my dad quite a bit while he was watching the tv.

The dog (GRR! HISS!!) was upstairs with my mom thank goodness. He drives me nuts. I wish he would leave me alone!! I think he likes my fluffy tail. I tell him all the time NO MEANS NO! but he just doesn't get it. Dumb dog...just because I'm fluffy and handsome does not mean I want attention from him!
