Hurricane Irene hit the east cost pretty hard this past weekend. We were out of water and electric for two days, but luckily, my family saw no major flooding or damage. I know many folks were not as fortunate as us. I work at a pet resort/boarding facility; seeing the heartbreak in each owner's eyes was devastating. Of course, they were in good hands with us, but I can't imagine the feeling of evacuating my property, and on top of that, not being able to take my babies with me! I'll continue to keep them in my thoughts and prayers, I hope the rest of you will do the same

We're east coast too! We kept our water and electric but the city next to us had 2 water main breaks and 1 in 4 households in our city went without power for 2-3 days.

We're relieved to hear that you're ok and that your family weathered the storm. Our purrs and hearts go out to the families who were displaced, terrified and less fortunate than we were.
