Arrival Story: My mommy Judy wanted to help a friend, Amy, who was breeding Silver Shaded American Shorthairs to go to college. Mommy Judy wanted me before I was even conceived! Mommy Judy was present the day I was born, the day of a lunar eclipse, so that became part of my name. Lunar Eclipse was also my grandfather's name, and he was a Champion. My first human mommy was Amy, she was very nice to me, and I was the first of my four brothers to leave for my furrever home. Mommy Amy cried and kissed me goodbye. I was very quiet on the way to my furrever home, and I was a little scared too. Mommy Judy was around me from the day I was born, and she helped hand-raise me with my brothers. My new home was scary, but I knew Mommy Judy, so I hid for several hours under her recliner where I could watch my new home and still be near M0mmy Judy. I was put in the kitchen by myself for my first night, and I cried a lot. Daddy Dan went to find me in the morning, and I had gone to hide behind the refrigerator, where it was warm. When I heard Daddy call for me, I came out from behind the refrigerator with a big smile and my tail waving and hitting things. That's when I got the name Boom Bottom. Daddy thought I was very cute when I came out to greet him in the morning, and I nudged his hands a lot because I was so happy to see someone again!
Bio: Hermes is a loving kitty, he has learned to play fetch from his older sister, Tansey. He was a little hesitant to be very affectionate, but now that's he's three, he has blossomed into a very sweet personality. He is very good, he's not a naughty cat very much at all. Although he does like to pull my little orchid plants out of their pots from time to time, he never eats them, never poops where he should not (although he gets travellers on his butt from time to time), loves his dry food, and cuddles with Mommy almost every night, purring and drooling and kneading his little paws. He never stays more than fifteen minutes on me, sometimes a little longer if he's really grooving on the love.

My my! Another year has gone by. And today I'm FIVE years old! I was sleeping with Meowmy and wasn't too happy when she got up with Daddy at 4:30. Meowmy is trying to be good and go to the gym more often, but she doesn't always make it. That's ok, it means more time to sleep with her i the mornings.
This morning she stretched me and scritched me just where I like it. I talked to her a little bit, yawned, but decided I'd stay on the soft bed while they got ready for work and the gym.
I wonder what Meowmy will have special for me today? She's been talking about something called a Furminator, but if it's all the same to her, I'd just as soon have more of those crunchy treats Daddy bought me last week.
Today I'm four years old! I was born the afternoon of a lunar eclipse. My meowmy Judy thinks that's pretty cool. Today I was all stretched out when Meowmy got up for work. I wanted a belly rub and she gave it to me. I licked her hand in appreciation, then went back for a nap.
I think I'll nap for a good part of the day, and then see what kinds of treats I get from meowmy and daddy. I hope they play with my favorite toy with me, I just love my feather toys.
My big sister Tansey likes to play and she's taught me a lot of games that I like to play too. My favorite one is carrying my toy to my meowmy and daddy and asking them to play with me. They always do.
Yes, it's good to be me today. Except when meowmy had to clean butt noodles off me today, I didn't like that a whole lot.
