Arrival Story:
Gizzy came to us when he was 6 months old as a birthday present for me. We went to the rescue centre and there were all these gorgeous little fluffball kittens. But then I saw the little, scaredy tabby cat (who had very big ears which he later grew in to!) I was told that he wouldn't come out but, low and behold, out he came all purrs. Apparently he had never done it before! I went to chose a kitten...but a cuddly Mobius chose me!
Bio:
Gizzy was a rescue cat. His mum lived outside and was very poorly treated, she had already had a large number of litters. Gizzy and his sister were the only two from that litter and they were rescued at around 5-6 months. He had been left outside and kicked around and so suffers a lot with nerves. He has been through so much and is still scared of visitors but it made me so proud when I saw him sitting on my boyfriend's knee, especially as he has always hated men. He's such a brave little cat.
A couple of years ago he was diagnosed with FUS (Feline Urologic Syndrome) and we had a scare a couple of weeks ago when his bladder was blocked. But Gizzy is such a little fighter - he's scared me so many times when I thought I was going to lose my lil Squidge and I love him so much. He is a slightly hefty little thing though, which doesn't help his condition but I've seen him improve so much over the years that I can't help but be proud of him.
Gizzy is such a wonderful little cat, I wish people were able to get to know him for the amazing personality that he is, but some people even deny he exists because he won't come out to see visitors. I've never met such a loving cat though, we have such an amazing bond and I can't imagine ever being without him. He's always there when I need a cuddle and I'm always there when he's feeling down. He knows me so well and sometimes I'm amazed at how intelligent he is, especially compared to Max (bless her!).
He is, quite frankly, the most wonderful cat in the world....(as I often am reminded when he flomps onto my bed in the morning!) Quite frankly he is one of my bestest friends and I love my MobiusGiz so much!
