We taught her to 'shake' or lift her left paw when she wanted a nibble of our food. Everytime we had a piece of food that she wanted, she would come up to us sit and lift her paw or 'shake'.

Arrival Story:
Taffy came into our lives when my parents decided to replace the kitten we had lost a few weeks earlier. Taffy was in the APL with her mother and brother. We looked at her and said 'We want the girl' She moved into me and my parents house in 1990 even though pets were not allowed.
Bio:
Taffy loved belly rubs, sleeping on the bed with her parents. Her favorite toy was a string in which she would bring to you when she wanted to play. When she was young, she loved chasing the string up and down the basement stairs. She was shy and hid under the bed whenever strangers came over.
She was pampered and spoiled. She had a great life. She was loved very much. She died November 2006 at age 16.
