to sleep in a drawer, jumping three feet straight up in the air with trajectory to catch and eat bugs

Someone with long hair sleeping in her spot on the couch, and she is terrified of shoes. She also gets upset watching other cats and squirrels in her yard.

Favorite Toy:
a furry mouse type thing stuffed with cat nip

Favorite Nap Spot:
in an open dresser drawer or a space in a shelf underneath my computer printer when I am working on the computer

Favorite Food:
Anything Science Diet-- she hates table food of any kind-- Oh yeah, and this is gross... she love bugs... She traps and hunts them relentlessly. I am not sure she eats them, but she will play with them until they are dead.

She can dangle upside down from the couch, and she walks across my laptop and has dialed into the internet more than once

Arrival Story:
Kitty Sue came to live with us after she was abandoned in our neigborhood. I began feeding her once I noticed she was around. If she knew I saw her she would run and hide. She was very frightened, and she would not let anyone come near her, but she gradually would come up to the bowl on the back porch and eat. She was very, very, skinny, but she had these amazing eyes, huge, wary and intelligent, and they looked even more enormous since she was so thin.

Too Kewl!

We love it when Meowmy goes back to work... cause then she brings us stuff. We got two new cat toys -- a really kewl one that is a little carpeted stand with a stand up spring and a fluffy thing on the end.. me and big Mabel like it a lot... and one of the furry mice on a squiggly stick tha we love but we tear them up really fast.... and she bought Mabel some new catfood-- Royal Canine for extreme hairball and fatness.... Hope it works. I get Royal Canin for picky eaters and being gorgeous and sleek. We like the Science Diet, but I got a little puny over the summer so Meowmy wanted to try something new for me.. and thenwhen Mabel's big bag of cience Diet ran out Meowmy wanted to try something for her, too! It tastes pretty good... Unfortunately Mabel is sneaking off and eating my special food for skinny cats, and she is getting very portly.... Oh yeah and she bought us some scallop flavored Greenies.... yum, yum.... I am worried cause Petco has the greenies on clearance.. that is great for Meowmy right now, but what if they stop having them. I would die without greenies...
See ya,
Love Kitty Sue
p.s. Meowmy is worried cause Porcha did not show up for supper last night or breakfast this morning. She called the pound, but they said they didn't have any cats.... wonder what happened to their cats?

Meowmy goes back to school

Hi Effurbody, We missed you all, and now that summer is over and Meowmy has a routine, she hopes to make time for us to check in more. She was really annoyed cause on some news show-- abc most likely they mentioned pet space and didn't even go to Catster or Dogster-- Meowmy teaches photography, journalism, yearbook and desktop publishing, and she felt the reporter had not done his research-- or he would have know about catster... and known they had more members--

Go get the catster/shutterfly book... Meowmy already got the first one.... and she didn't even make the book from pictures of us.... she did a family vacation.... so while she says she would love to have a book of us.... she needed to get that 2004 vacation scrapped away.... any way the book is awesome and amazing-- professionally bound, and it only cost the shipping-- about $8 totally worth it, and it shipped in about two days and Meowmy thinks arrived in less that a week.

Any way enough of that.... Meowmy tripped over her scanner and wrenched or sprained her knee-- great way to start the year, huh? And she says it is depressing enough to go back any way... She loves her job, but she loves summer more, perhaps.... any way it is hard to go from minimal clothes and shoes to full professional dress in the Texas heat. Once she reins herself in and resigns herself to the fact that it is once more time for stress and makeup, she'll be fine..... Any way to make a long story short..... Meowmy is focused on getting ready for Monday. She thinks if I went to public school I would probably be a ninth grader.... more about that later, she says....
Have a great weekend everyone, I am trying to make Meowmy take me shopping. But so far it is a no.

Meowmy Loves Me!

This is the best day since last week when Meowmy gave us shrimp cocktail and Catnip for a Saturday evening treat. Meowmy bought us cool toys and a special catbrush groomer... the toy Meowmy bought is this plastic ball that is flat on the ends and has plastic spokes with a mouse suspended... I am not very interested in it, but Zelda (big Mabel) love it.. stuck her big head in between the plastic spokes put the furry little mouse in her mouth and took off! Meowmy was certain that we would never touch it, but Mabel picked it up and ran with it straight off she was pleased, and she also bought this cool, kinda flat, rectangular rattan basket that is woven in pretty spring green colors; ... she wasn't sure what to do with it... she felt like she would just put projects in it... she just liked it and it went with the color scheme in her studio- it is about 9 by 12 inches and about five inches tall, and fabric-lined... and Meowmy put it on the coach and noticed her magazines fit perfectly in it... The ones she is actually going to read tend to wait on the couch for her so rather than just leaving them lying on her spot on the couch she thinks she will put the read next stuff, here. The magazines fit perfectly. Moewmy spends very little time on the couch so usually my
favorite spot is a place in a deep shelf that is built in to the wall and empty on one end except for about three inches deep of 12 inch square paper... it is right next to the computer.. and it is my favorite place when Meowmy is working at the computer... I don't know why I love lying on paper in the cool, shadowy shelf, but I do, and now when the cool slick magazines are in the fabric-lined
rattan basket... and Meowmy is watching tv (we just joined an on-line movie thing so she is trying to spend some time watching movies) I am very happy to lie on top of them. right beside her,
specially since Meowmy had the remainder of beat up fresh catnip from last night lying, there... she is growing her own catnip once she discovered that we like it... She read about it and found out that genetically cats either love catnip and roll around on it and sniff it and generally act goofy when indulging in it or they don't react at all. Zelda likes it too... both the catnip and the basket. So now Meowmy is thinking about getting another basket in a different color for the opposite
couch... It has magazines on it too- they are daddy's although he usually reads his and puts them up. But that couch needs a basket, magazines, and a cat, too.
