Arrival Story:
I was employed at Petcetra and it had a cat adoption agency that worked through our local SPCA. Part of my job was to look after the animals that came in. I had lost my beloved Kiddy a few years before, and felt I was ready to give that love to another cat, but mom was extremly unsure she could deal with another death even if the cat wasn't hers. One day a mama cat, named Baby Bop, and her two kittens came in. The kittens were cute of course, very healthy bouncy little things that looked nothing like their mom. Baby Bop was a strange looking cat, a runt most likely with a short front left paw that caused her to limp, a crooked tail, "stretched" anatomy and she was extremly skinny. She trusted noone that came in, and of course her kittens were adopted rather quickly. I grew extremly attached to her, as I was the only one she would kiss and let hold her. I somehow talked my mom into letting me adopt Baby Bop, given noone wanted the handicap cat. I was lucky enough to get a check the day mom had agreed and adopted Baby bop that night after work. Dec 9, 2005. She was so frightened to be moved to a new place, but you can also tell that she felt so relieved to have a home. I named her Madge, as I had always wanted a cat named Madonna, but my sister felt that Madonna's nickname would sound better, and Baby Bop was a HORRIBLE name for a cat. She now is a rather welcome addition to the family, having won over my mom or her "Grandma" with her cuteness. Though Unfortunantly she came with no info on her birthdate or her age, so we sumised that her birthday will be on her namesakes, Madonna's. She is a sweetheart with alot of quirks, and she defianltly in quiet the diva.

We think Madge was abused and abandoned. Her left front leg is shorter then her right, but it seems more like it was shattered and not healed properly. She HATES men, and she hates being left alone, she has seperation issues, and does show signs of abuse. When I brought her home and got her fixed, she had an infection in her womb, and most likely wouldn't have survived if noone adopted her. She is defiantly a morning person, always up at 5 on the dot to scratch at my door and be let out. She runs pretty fast for a gimp, and is quiet energetic in the morning, but like any cat, she'll go straight to catnapping once everyone has gone to work or school in the house. When I finally roll out of bed she'll be right there "Hmmming" me awake and rubbing up against me, until I fill up her food dish that is. She loves baths, and will sit on the edge and dip her tail in the water. She also has an interesting habit of forgetting her tongue is sticking out, and will fall asleep or sit there with it sticking out. She meows like a horse, is how we explain it, though its very cracky and soft, she throws her head back each time she does it. She also "Waves" with her gimp paw, and when she gets up will do a "funny walk" stretching out each leg as she goes, like goose stepping almost.
