I'm sure a lot of you know about our pal, Harrison. He is Kitty Pryde's sister, and unfortunately, they do not get along. I do know something about not getting along with a brother, but Harrison and Kitty Pryde's situation is much worse than my relationship with Newman.
After help from the Cat Daddy, Jackson Galaxy, and advice from another cat behaviorist, it seems that the best situation for Harrison would be to live in a home without another cat.
You can read the latest in his recent diary entry.
Now here is where we all can play a part in helping Harrison - besides purring - which he needs (as well as purrs for his Mom who dearly loves him and Kitty Pryde).
Most of us have cats or we wouldn't be on Catster. But we all have friends and family . . . . . and maybe some of them don't have cats. Or maybe they aren't on Catster, but they had a cat and the cat has journeyed to the bridge. There are lots of situations where someone is lonely for another cat.
We know what Harrison's Mom is going through because we had a similar situation with Vivien. It broke our heart to find another home for her, but she is doing so much better in her new surroundings. We need that same miracle for Harrison!
Harrison lives in California, but don't let that stop you if you don't live in California! There is an entire network of people willing to transport cats all over the country, and if Harrison finds a home somewhere outside California, we know there are people who would help get him there!
You can also help by spreading the word in your diary. We all have a different set of Catster pals, and all it takes is one cat reading your diary who might not read my diary!
Let's do what we can to help Harrison - he deserves it!
We are purrring and purrrrrring for Harrison!
I know how Harrison feels. I hope and purr he will find the purrfect home like I did.
Now are we sure Harry needs to be an only cat or would he be OK with another cat who's not afraid of him? I didn't like my sister when she first came home (and I'm still not a fan) and when she gets in my way, I bop her on the head a few times. Now she's twice my size but I'm still the alpha kitty.
We remember Viv and hope she continues to thrive in her new home with the big doggie. Something like this happened with an old friend of Dad's. The two kitties they got from the litter were the alpha and omega kitties so one always got beaten up. They found a new home for her and everyone was happier.
We wish we could help but we don't know anyone who's looking for a cat. The only catless cat-people we know are still recovering emotionally from the loss of some family members (2 and 4 legged kind).
We need to help Harrison and Kitty Pryde get some happiness. Everything has been tried by their mom. She is heart broken. There must be someone who would love Harrison as much....
As some of you know, we also have been there.
We got very lucky advertising on Kijiji.
Katerina is very happy being an only child.
Purrs for Harrison from all of us.

Thank you dear furrriend. Fur everyone wondering, I'm good with dogs it appears. I meet them daily on my walks, and my auntie Raven brings her doggie buddy over a lot. He's small and sometimes I feel like I wanna jump on him too, but I don't cause it's not as fun as Kitty. I've met other kitties too and the doc doc thinks that I'm ok in a large group setting 'cause there are many kitties, so I can't single one or two out. I've even been with kitties who are brave, and got the crazies. Mommy got a very good and thorough report from Dr. Sueda and agrees with all of the info. But she is still so furry sad. And sad fur Kitty cause she is so scurrrred again after the last fight she won't even eat if she hears me. Mommy has given me the best gift though, and that's all the love I can get plus all the info to give my new adopter. Mommy had a long and tearful talk today with the nice lady at my rescue (we call it that now cause the kitties there always has a home and love no matter what happens) and she said she's been keeping up on my diaries and knew we have been tring so much so not to feel so sad. It's so hard though. Mommy was determined to have me fur life. And she will in her heart and me too. And I'm lucky fur so many great furrrriends who love and care fur me so much. I love you all!
Oh my gosh Mister Harrison! I'm gonna be telling everybody I knows bout you and helping you find dat new purrfect furever home. It's possible cuz I just founded my new home at 1 years old! Yesiree - so paws crossed dude

Harrison and Samoa,
Being the furte I am I just do not do well with other kittehs. Good wif crazy goggies though. I hope Harrison can find a home where he is spoiled rotten like I am and that his old meomwy can visit him too. Love and lots of furry furry purrrssss
We will keep our purrs going that Harrison can find a new home. It's a very difficult decision to make and never easy. Mom volunteers at a shelter and sometimes this happens but it's always for the best. Maybe Harrison's new family will keep in contact or send pictures so his mom will see how he is doing. He is quite a handsome boy so I'm thinking there will be an amazing home found!
Hugs and purrs,
Simon & Reuben(an angel)
