Bio:
Fozzie got his name because, even as a kitten, he reminded me of Fozzie Bear from the Muppets. He's fuzzy, not quite intelligent, and always has a dumb, innocent look on his face... just like the original Fozzie Bear. Fozzie doesn't react to certain things like other cats do. For instance, when a cat feels that it's falling, it usually turns it's body around to land on it's feet. Not Fozzie. He just goes along with the fall and lands however he can (this is usually when he's landing on the couch cushion). He can be quite skittish when something sudden happens, like too quick a movement by us or one of the other cats, or a very loud noise. He gets very nervous and runs away, slipping and sliding all over our terra cotta floors. I think he also suffers from separation anxiety. When my husband and I go away on vacation, usually if it's for more than 3-4 days, Fozzie gets very upset and hisses and growls at us upon our return. This usually lasts for a day and the next day, if we just leave him alone, he acts like we never left. I've been trying to give him extra special love before we go away so that he knows we love him and are coming back. The last time we went away, last month, he was fine when we got back home. Let's see how it goes the next time, though.
