Arrival Story:
I swear ALL cats know who to look for when they want a home! After a night class at Phoenix College, my boyfriend and I went to his house. When we arrived, we found a little, blue cat wandering around. He kept meowing and looking around. I called him over and he had no problem coming to me. Jack was obviously friendly. He wandered off to the neighbor's house to a little food dish. I guess one of the neighbors was feeding him, so we let him be and went back to the house. However, he followed us and was crying. He was still a kitten. My boyfriend noticed his tail and thought it was broken. Maybe it was...all I know is that it is a short, spiral tail. Anyways, after he followed us back across the street, he went off on his own again. He was still crying and walking through the streets. I got worried about him possibly getting hit by a car, but I needed to know if he belonged to the neighbor first. I went and asked the neighbor if he was their cat and she said he was just a stray she had been feeding. So, I took him inside my boyfriend's house and fed him. We thought we could just leave him with Ernie's mom, but she wasn't awake. So, I decided to take another "surprise" home to my parents!

Jack had gone missing a couple days ago... I knew something was terribly wrong when I got a sick feeling yesterday at work. It hit me, like someone punched me in the gut. "I haven't seen Jack lately," I thought. Then I got worried. I looked for him as soon as I got home, with no success. Today is April 22. 2006. Today, I found Jack... He had died.

I love you, Jackie! I'm sorry. I know that you'll be happy with my brother and all my other kitties in Heaven. I'll miss you always.

Till we meet again,
Your loving owner,
Liz
