My Big Furry Angel

Blixa went to the Rainbow Bridge this afternoon after a short illness. His body was no longer able to hang in there, he was severly dehydrated and anemic and had elevated calcium levels. He's now happy and healthy playing with his pals at the Bridge.

He was such a loving cat (at least to his mommy) when he was alive, but a terror to all others. He had all the vet techs frightened of him and even had the "bad cat" notation in his vet records. I couldn't convince them that at home he would curl up in my lap and give me the kitten meow. He was quite imposing at 17 lbs though, so I can understand their apprehension.

I've gained weight!!

Horray for me!! I've put on almost a whole pound. I now weigh 6 lbs 3 oz. Mommy and daddy were very worried about me cuz I lost so much weight and was acting very sick. Whatever was wrong, I got over it and now I am back to my old self again, demanding food and eating like a little kitty pig. Mommy has been buying me yummy Meow Mix cat food and I'm eating about three cans a day!! Bring it on!!

You were my very first kitten and you were soo tiny when I brought you home. You taught me how to love cats and how to better understand your unique language. I love how even after all these years you still greet me at the door everyday when I come home. You have the funniest personality, you are a big tough guy and a little squeaky cuddler at the same time. Nothing frightens you, not even the vacuum cleaner. You have all the techs at the vet buffaloed, they think you are such a big meanie. If they could only see how sweet and cuddly you are at home. Your penchant for stuffing yourself into boxes and bags no matter how small they are is hysterical. And now you also have daddy all wrapped around your little paw.
