Today I got my birthday presents from my incredibly GAWGEOUS girlkit, Chey! As you can see in my pics, I LOVE them! She got me two tinkle balls, a can of by Nature canned food (my FAVORITE!), this pop up dog-er, CAT kennel, a card, a picture of her in my box from where she tried to mail herself and Human wouldn't let her (!), a picture of me in the crown she passed down as I enter my terrible twos, a pawsome painting of my incredibly handsome self, a card, a stringy chirpy wand toy, and a blue mat! Thank you SO much Chey- I'm gonna have a blast! But the best birthday gift ever is having you as my soon-to-be wife, and my best friend! Love you Chey, and thanks again! :D

Gotcha!

My incredibly gorgeous girlkit, Chey, tagged me for this meme thing, so here goes!

The rules:
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to write on their own diary about the seven things and the rules. You need to choose seven cats to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment that they have been tagged and to read your diary.

1. My favorite way to wake Mom up in the mornings by attacking her head.
2. My second favorite is by kneading her neck!
3. I make sucking noises when I eat- Mom says it's probably because when she weaned me off my bottle, I didn't want to do it gradually and jumped right onto the kitten food.
4. I really DO have a big ego!
5. I know how to sit when Mom tells me to- but she knows how to fetch (food), scratch (chin), and all sorts of other useful tricks!
6. At night, I like to curl up right against the back of Mom's neck.
7. My favorite human food is sausage!

I tag:

Mr. Echo
Ollie
Gimli
Beanie Jones
Harley
Truman
Uncle T (Toulouse)

Valentine's Day

A bit late, but had a great Valentine's day with Chey at the Lakeside. Here's my present to her- wasn't much, but it's the thought that counts, neh?

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Candy is sweet
Cookies are too

Pizza is yummy
That much is true
But when it all comes down to it
All I ever want is you

You're funny, smart,
Athletic, and kind
Even when you give me a mohawk
I don't really mind

So when I was searching for you a gift
To tell you how much I love you in a suitable way
This was all I could come up with
So Happy Valentine's Day!

Love and Purrs,
The Wild Child

My Tail of Devotion for Simba

Simba, my dear little Wild Child, you mean the world to me. Even if you do insist upon waking me when it's still dark outside to give you your breakfast, and even if you do restyle my hair when I refuse to get up, and even if you do run across the bed like a madcat when I still do not comply, I love you. Even if you do tear my hand apart everytime we play, even if you do run across the keyboard when I'm in the middle of a big term paper, even if you do try to eat my food, I love you. It doesn't seem like all that long ago that you would fit in the palm of my hand, and now you're as tall as Little Ma Ma. You're the cutest little meezer on the face of the earth, and just as sweet as you are good-looking. You always keep me on my toes, and make every day a new adventure. I love how when I'm typing or reading, you sneak on my lap and I don't realise you're there until I happen to look down. I love how when I come home from work, you all but jump into my arms. I love how when you do something naughty, you're always able to convince me that you're too handsome to get on to. You'll always be The Wild Child, even when you're far past your prime. And for that, my little furry buddy, I write for you this devotion.

This is a special Tail of Devotion

Hi Simba fans! Just wanted to let everycat know that I recovered just fine from my surgery! Hehe, several cans of Fancy Feast later, I'm good as new! Mom was kind of worried that getting the big snip might calm me down, but she had nothing to worry about! I'm just as hyper as ever!

Little Ma Ma is tolerating me more and more every day. I think that deep, deep down (under all that fat, hehe) she does like me. She just won't admit it. She's just jealous 'cause Mom loves me most. Given, Mom won't admit it (she says she loves us all the same), but I know better. Who could resist loving me most anyway?

Neutered!

I just got home yesterday from being neutered. Yes, The Wild Child got "the big chop". Needless to say, I did NOT enjoy it in the least. First, Mom took me to the vet. AND LEFT ME THERE! The nerve! They put me in a tiny CAGE. Yes, a CAGE. Later, I took a wonderful nap, and woke up feeling terrible. Those aweful people must have done something horrible to me, because I felt like doggie doo. When I was feeling a little better, I promptly demaded to be released from inprisonment to any passerby and sometimes even when no one was around. I felt so isolated, alone, and unloved! A couple of the vets submitted to my yelling and reaching out of the cage and took me out for a little cuddle, but nothing near what I wanted or for the duration I required. Soon all of the vets and people left and I was left alone, secluded in a tiny metal prison, feeling sick and starved for attention, all night long. That morning, same routine. I was starting to wonder if I would ever again feel the comfort and warmth of a human lap when, later that afternoon, I was put into a carrier with Sierra (who had come to be spayed) and someone opened the door and took me out. It was Mom! I was estatic. She took me home and cuddled me and I was compensated (rather poorly, in my opinion) for my pain with a can of Fancy Feast. Oh, but it was good! I was so happy to be home and sleep in a nice warm bed with Mom that I must have purred myself to sleep that night. I've been resting today and am already starting to feel much, much better. One thing is for sure though: I don't ever want to be neutered again!

Update from The Wild Child

Hello Simba fans! Sorry I haven't written in a while, things have been busy. First, I have been working hard at my new year's resolution to get Little Ma Ma to play with me. I've made a lot of progress all ready! If I bug her enough, she'll try to chase me off a few steps, then I come back for more. Eventually she gets tired of it and hisses, but it's a start! Sometimes when I'm hyper she'll run from me when I chase her.

I also have a big announcement! Mom told me the other day that I'm getting neutered at the end of the month or the beginning of next month! Although I'm not sure exactly what it is, Mom says it's sort of like what Squint had done. She was away for a day and when she came back she got to stay inside a few days and got lots of treats and attention, so it must be good!

As I wrote in a previous entry, every other weekend I go with Mom to visit Paw Paw. Molly used to not like me (she lives with Paw Paw), but now she and I will run around and play together. She only hisses at me now when she is in one of her "moods".

Well, that's all for now! Be sure to check out my cool group, "For The Meezers" (you can join even if you aren't Siamese) or my bestest buddy Kitty's group, "All Kitty, All The Time".

The Wild Child

Santa Came!

Well, Christmas is over, but it was soooooo much fun! One of my best presents was having my mommy back- she had to leave me with Paw Paw over the week before Christmas because she was going to a place called South Carolina to see my uncle Gary and I couldn't come. I missed Mommy, but she left all of my toys and my carrier so I was right at home! Plus she told me that she would be home, so I was counting down the days. Guess what Santa Paws brought me? This neat bungie toy with feathers on the end! It's supposed to hang off the door knob, but I like it better on the floor. Mommy says Santa wasn't sure where I would be for Christmas, so he left one of my presents here at Paw Paw's in my stocking and the rest at home, so now I can't wait to get back and see what else I got! Mommy is so happy with how I am growing up- she calls me a "brat" because when I don't get my way I bite her (not hard, just enough to let her know that I'm not a happy camper). Hehe, I love being a brat! She can't stay mad at me long because I give her these big blue kitten eyes that she is such a sucker for, tee hee. I've perfected the art of what Mommy calls "sitting on command" and now I am teaching Mommy "shake"! At first I didn't like my paw being held, but now I know that I get pet if I let her. Mommy is learning quickly!

Christmas is on the Way!

Hi Wild Child fans! Life has been good since my "Santa Paws" ordeal. I have gotten used to the collar, but I prefer to do without it still. The ole Grumpy Butt- uh, Little Ma Ma- got a new collar too. She hates bells, and this one has one on it. Mom usually takes the bell off, but this one dosen't come off, so it's funny to see Grumpy Butt give Mom dirty looks, hehe. Cloud got a bit ill, but she has since recovered nicely and has moved into the house with me. It gets kind of boring what with Mom being gone all day, but I find lots of fun things to do. I usually play with Cloud or my toys, but when that gets old I've always got the old Grumpy Butt to pester, hehe. I like to sneak up on her and grab her tail. It makes her so mad! Haha! Oh, and my feline friends, I have learned something very valuable. If Mom says "sit" and I sit down, I get a yummy treat! So wait until the next time your mom says sit and try it- it works every time for me! On top of everything else, Christmas is coming and Santa Paws owes me a bunch of toys for being as good as I have this year! Mommy has also gotten me a few presents. Don't tell her I know this, but one of them rattles! I heard one in the bag as she was hiding it. I can't wait for Christmas!

Pet Smart! *Hiss!*

I had such a horrible day today! You wouldn't belive what Mom did to me! She took me to this evil place called Pet Smart! First, we rode there, which was fun, then she took me into this HUGE place and set my carrier on this little pushy-thing. People kept admiring me and saying how cute I am, which was the highlight of my day. Then she pushed the wheely thingy through the HUGE place, took me out, then handed me to Santa Paws! It's a good thing he gives me presents, otherwise I wouldn't like him one bit! He held me funny and his chin fur was itchy. This lady got one of those one-eyed flashy things and kept taking my picture. The flash hurt my eyes so much! Mommy finally got me back and put me back in my carrier. I thought Mom was done with her torture, but then she kept sticking this funny green stuff called cat nip in my cage to see if I liked it. I didn't, so she sprayed this other kind of cat nip and it scared me! On top of that, she put this necklace thing on me to see how it looked. I tried to scowl so I would look bad, but she bought it and now I have to wear it! It has a dingy bell on it, so I thought it was a toy, but Mom keeps getting on to me when I try to chew on it! Oh, what is a kitten to do?

The Wild Child
