More birdwatching today.

We were left to our own devices again today as mom went to work at 7.30am. So we had to entertain ourselves. I did some more birdwatching broken up by some snoozing and the odd spruce up. Looked out for that ginger and white cat, but I didn't see him today, maybe he came past when I was snoozing. When mom got home we all rushed to the kitchen for food, never mind saying hello, just feed us!!!! This work thing sure interrupts our moms service to us, but I suppose we dont mind as she is in service for other cats. We will have the same sort of day tomorrow as mom is working the same tomorrow.
Heres another fun game for those of you wishing to slim down those mouse pouches or big boned areas (Blizzard)!! or to just annoy your moms and dads.

Cat Game no 4.

This is a game played in the bathroom. Next to the humans' Big White Drinking Bowl is a roll of soft white paper which is artfully attached to the wall so that it can spin. Inside this roll is the Tube Mouse. When you grab the paper, the Tube Mouse will spin frantically as it tries to escape from you. When the Mouse is exposed, it dies of fright and stops spinning. But that's okay because you now have a great new toy to pounce on, play with, and shred! Part two of the game is to make the angry human believe that the other Cat did it. This is related to another fun game, "Snowstorm", in which you try to make it look like a blizzard has occurred in the room. You can track shreds all over the house for greater enjoyment. Be warned that this variant often results in the coming of the VACUUM MONSTER.

I hate the vacuum monster!!!!

While Birdwatching......

Cloudy and windy here today, this cold wind has been around for weeks, but its been dry. I didnt want to go out much today, as I like the sun and it hasn't been out much today so no sun beams to doze in.
I decided to do a spot of birdwatching form the lounge window, the window sill is low and wide, so easy for me to get onto and there are 2 cosy beds. I was sat there for quite a while watching the birds. We have a large bird feeding area in our front garden and it was very busy, with birds of sizes coming to feed. Then I noticed something orange, white and furry curled up in the was another my garden!!!!
I do sometimes see this cat as it usually just passes through, we saw it yesterday, it dared mark his territory. Mom says she doesn't know who it belongs to, she sees it quite often in the street and she said he was starting to look a bit thin. But today was the first time we have seen it sleeping in the garden, mom went out to him but he ran away. We will keep an eye on him and mom will ask around to see who he belongs to.

Cat game no 3.

Obviously, this game requires two or more Cats and may include a dog as well. One Cat is "it" and chases the others around the house until he catches up to one of them, making that Cat "it" in turn. The caught Cat who has become "it" then chases the others around. Great fun, but has the greatest potential for loss of Dignity from maneuvers such as the Throw Rug Wipeout and the Non-Carpeted Floor Skid. Whenever such a situation occurs, all feline participants must immediately wash themselves. Dogs are generally too stupid to do this and may continue to play. In this case, the dog automatically becomes "it" and should be piled upon by all Cats.

Have fun and dont forget to purr for all those in need.

Whats Happened to all the Catsters?

We have been wondering, what's happened to all the Catsters? Its very quiet here lately, where has everyone gone? There seems to be fewer posts and fewer posters.
I suppose it means I can spend more time snoozing in the garden or having a spruce up.
To the Catfather....I know I have a large mouse pouch and I am proud of it!!! You could always call yours an apron!!! You have to have somewhere to put all your mousies.

Cat Game no 2.

This game must be played with at least one other Cat. The more, the merrier! One or both of the sleeping humans is Hill 303 which must be defended at all costs from the other Cats. Anything goes. This game allows for the development of unusual tactics as one must take the unstable playing theater into account. A more extreme version of this is to stage a loud fight with another cat who is sleeping on the bed, which will immediately wake the sleeping humans into a state of confusion. If there is a dog sleeping by the bed, you can try to get it involved in breaking up the fight, which will add greatly to the confusion. This stunt will more than likely result in getting everyone expelled, so play it sparingly.

WARNING: Playing games 1 and 2 (especially the noisier version of 2) to excess will result in expulsion from the bed and possibly from the bedroom. Should the humans grow restless, immediately begin purring and cuddle up to them. This should buy you some time until they fall asleep again. If one happens to be on a human when this occurs, this Cat wins the round of King of the Hill.

Busy Day

So much to do, so little time.
Today started off as a normal day. Mom let us out and it was nice and sunny, wind was still chilly but there was plenty of shelter in the garden. So I napped in the sun and before I knew it, it was dinner time, so I came in for a nap. After Dinner, mom went to clean out the rabbits, so it was my que to do some supervising, which I have to admit, I am pretty good at. After that I was exhausted so I nipped in for a nap. There was some noise coming from out the front, not the normal cars but something else or to be more precise, lots of something, so we went to look out the window. There were lots of horses with humans on them going past, more than we usually see. mom told us it was our villages yearly horse show and they were going to a field near by. We sat and watched them go by, they looked like big mice with stilts! After that it was time to go out in the sun beams and find a cosy place to nap before tea time. I thought that would be it for the day but mom had other ideas. She had noticed I was still scratching a bit so she got out a spray and came towards me, well I was off, she wasnt going to put that on me. Every time mom got me I wriggled free and ran off, it eventually came down to a wrestling match and dad just sat there laughing. Mom got some spay on my neck and then gave up.
At last its all quiet.
For those of you that need some fun......

The humans would have you believe that those lumps under the covers are their feet and hands. They're lying. They are actually Bed Mice, rumored to be the most delicious of all the mice in the world, but no Cat has ever been able to catch one. Rumor also has it that only the most ferocious attack can stun them long enough for you to dive under the covers to get them. Maybe YOU can be the first Cat to taste the coveted Bed Mouse!

Maybe thats what are in The Catfathers mouse pouch!!!!

Have fun.

Nothing scratching

Well, another day with nothing much to report from here. Mom slept in, so we all joined her on the bed. We didnt get to go out today as mom had to go to work this afternoon until 9pm.
hen mom got home, we all got excited and ran around chasing each other and trying to get moms attention.
We came on to Catster and caught up with everyone and one of the first diary's we read made us sad. Our catster friend Adam Dylan has made his journey to the rainbow bridge. We will be purring for him and his family. Another star shines brightly in the sky tonight and forever.

I am not fat. I have a Distended Cat Food Storage Facility. (one for the Catfather)

I am not asleep. I am temporarily inert.

Can you believe it......we were abandoned today, left on our own. Dad went out as he is on a weeks holiday and as for mom, well, after 5 months off sick she had her first day back to work actually work not visit. She is doing 2 six hour shifts a week for 4 weeks to see how she gets on and slowly increase her hours till she will hopefully be able to do what she did before.
So we were good today as we knew mom would be tired when she got home as she has chronic fatigue syndrome.
When she got home we were all pleased to she her and we knew where she had been because she smelled of her other cat family. Mom let us out for a bit but it was windy and cold so we didnt stay out long. I have been racing around indoors, mom says I have a flea up my bum!! So I had better try and find it.

I'm not aloof. I am Hominoidally Unimpressed.

I don't shed. I develop Follicle Abdication.

I don't scratch. I cause temporary hemoglobin displacement.

I don't purr. I am aurally appreciative.

I am not indifferent. I am Dispassionately Neutral.

I'm not small. I am Corpus Compactus.

Purring for all the sick kitties.

Strange night followed by strange day.

Strange night last night, dad slept on the sofa! Apparently he kept mom awake coughing ( he has a chest infection) so he thought it would be better for him to get comfy on the sofa, trouble was, he kept us wake so we all went upstairs and slept with mom.
When dad woke up this morning, he had this strange idea to pull up and get rid of the bedroom carpet. It needs doing but mom was still in bed when he started! Any way he had started and we all got involved, it was fun climbing over the rolled up carpet and sniffing the floor underneath. Now the carpet is up we rally sound like a bunch of elephants running around upstairs.
This afternoon it was snooze in the sun time after such a busy morning. Wonder where dad will be sleeping tonight, don't think mom can deal with another sleepless night and I don't think I can either. I wonder if The Catfather can come and sit on him.
Have you noticed how The Catfathers bunny ears make him look slimmer, they draw your eyes away from his mouse pouch!!

The 10 Catmandments

I am the Lord of thy house.

Thou shall have no other pets before me.

Thou shalt not ever ignore me.

I shall ignore thou when I feel like it.

Thou shalt be grateful that I even give thou the time of day.

Remember my food dish and keep it full.

Thou shalt spend most of thy money on toys and gifts for me.

Thou shalt always have thy lap ready for me to curl up in.

Thou shalt shower me with love and attention upon demand.

Above all, thou shalt do anything and everything it takes to keep me happy.

What is up with this weather?

The weather doesn't seem to be able to make up its mind, today is been a little windy, very cloudy like its going to rain any moment but its been warm. Personally I don't trust it, I didn't go out today just in case it rained and I get wet. So, its been the cosy bean bag for me today with occasional stretches, yawns and trips to get food, room service here is terrible!
No sign of any mice heads or stick heads around, perhaps The Bun father is afraid of flying, he shouldn't be with those ears, MOL.

Cats are good for dusting high places.

Cats have fur coats because they look silly in raincoats.

You don't own your cat. The cat owns you. And the cat owns the house. You just pay the mortgage.

Cats have their own lives; get on with yours.

Someone once said: "He who doesn't like cats doesn't like pets smarter than he."

Bitter Sweet Day Again

Today started off with very heavy showers, wind and thunder and lighting, I didnt want to come out from under the covers, but it soon passed and the sun came out.
Today we celebrated Mazie's 10th Birthday and we got chicken again, yay!!!! We had naps in the sun followed by chicken for supper, what more could a cat ask for.
I also got my own back on The Catfather, as he kept mentioning my PINK BUNNY EARS, so check out the pics on my page.
pssst....I dont think hes impressed, better watch out for mouses heads in my bed!!!
Anyone wants to put The Catfathers pics on your page, feel free!!!!MOL!!Or should I say The BUNFATHER!!!
Thank you all for wishing Maizie a Happy Birthday, you are all so kind.
The day has ended on a sad note, Dabs, the little cat that mom works with, has had to be helped to the bridge. To lose 3 in such a short time is very hard for mom to deal with, so much heart break.

Some things our owners should know about us cats.

An aquarium is just interactive television for cats.

A cat's favorite game is: "Hah! Made you look!"

A cat's worst enemy is a closed door.

Cats aren't clean, they're just covered with cat spit.

Cats aren't as dignified as people say they are. (Ever watched a cat clean its privates?)

Oh, and never upset The Catfather!!!!
but I had to get my own back, it was just too tempting.

Another lazy day

There was no need for me to hide under the covers last night, we had some heavy showers and it was windy but we didn't get the bad weather that was expected. Today it was still windy but the sun was out and in the garden it was sheltered so I found a nice sun spot and dozed lazily most of the day. I didn't even go and supervise dad in the garage, so his cup of tea was safe. I have also left my ouchie alone today. Mom brought a large cardboard box out to the garden and we all had fun playing in it and pouncing on who ever was in the box.

Some things our owners should know about us cats.

Cats have the simplest of taste - only the best will suffice.

Dogs are like kids. Cats are like room mates.

Cats are living proof that eating and sleeping all day isn't all bad.

Cats teach us that not everything in nature has a function.

Traits we despise in people, we prize as virtues in cats.

Cats know all the sunny places.

Take care everyone.
