Louis Is Home Now

Yesterday my sweet Louis came home. His dad picked up his urn at the vet. I am not yet able to look at any of what was sent along with that. But I was told there is a clay print of Louis' paw, some of his fur and of course the urn with Louis. It is a very sad time for all in our house. I still do not know how I will get through this at this point. I miss Louis so much. I miss his companionship, his wisdom, his beauty and most of all his love.

I was going to tell you more about the last few days for Louis but it just does not seem that I can. Louis did get to come home last Tuesday afternoon. His problems had not improved and he started to retain fluids in an alarming way. And he was no longer being given any fluids!

I knew without a doubt that it was time for him to make his journey to Rainbow Bridge. I told him I felt that he had been through enough. He fought hard to stay here with me and his family. Now it was time to rest. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do in my life. I knew that he would be at peace though. I so hope he is alright and happy wherever he might be. I will love and miss him forever more.

Thank you to all of you for your comments, gifts for Louis on his page, cards, email, pawmail, purrs, prayers and just the fact that you care enough to read this diary entry. I hope to thank each of you personally when I feel more up to it. But I hope you know each and every thing you did for Louis and his family is so deeply appreciated.

Love,
Sharon

Louis is more than alright, he is up here in Heaven and we are Rockin da Bridge, he is so young and healthy again, I took him to the earth window where he watches his family alot, I told him when he wants he can even drive my Hummer, he just looked at me and shook his head and said Bono you are something else, Sonny reaches over and gives Louis a big hug and tells him that one day he will be reunited with his earthly family, that we are promised and I thank God for that, the angels and I will keep his eartly family in our prayers, come on buddy let's go get into something MOL!!

Sharon:

I know it won't take away your sadness, but I wanted to let you know that so many of us know exactly what you are going through. It doesn't matter than we know in our hearts that the decision we make to send our beloved fur children to the bridge is right, it is still the most difficult thing to do. I cry tears with you because even though I didn't feel the love you did from Louis, he certainly gave us all love through his pictures and diary entries. The Catster community knows how to embrace when we are sad, and I hope you have felt that during Louis' ordeal. He has some of my heart in his heart basket at the bridge!

We love Louis LeBeau and always will. He was part of our family. We understand about how hard it is to do things with his urn and things. We still have Tigger, Yoda and Poo Cat in our living room hutch. We have a garden where Poo used to love to sit on his very own bench and that is where we planned on placing his ashes, that was about six years ago. We cannot bring ourselves to tough his ashes. So they stay in the hutch. One day we will eventually move them, but not yet. We often laugh when we are outside and see his empty bench. We can still see Poo on that bench. No one else has ever tried to sit on it. It's like they know it's Poo's.

Welcome Home Louis. You are once again where you belong.
We are so sorry that you couldn't have spent more time with your Mommy.

You now have a new responsibility of watching over all the kitties still here on earth and making sure we stay safe. That is one big responsibility..but we know you will be a great angel.

We love you Louis.

Sharon,
We think of Louis everyday; he was a very big part of our family as well. Even though we never met him personally, we felt as if we did. I would tell the babies every night to purr for Louis. Louis is in kitty heaven and we wish that he could have spent more time here with all of us. We hope that Ethan and Kirby are handling everything alright. We purr for you and for Louis!!

Love,
Lou Ann and Reeses and family

Sharon, I had similar feelings when we lost Princess Allie and later when we lost my precious Eli. It was so hard to look at the Catster pages or to read the notes left for Eli. He was such a fun cat -- he had a sense of humor! Then one day when looking at his Catster page, I really felt conforted that I could look back, at any time, and see his precious face, read the diary entries and remember the joy he brought. I pray you will find the same comfort. Take all the time you need. We are here when you can return.

My mama did not know the kind people at the animal hospital made my paw print for her until she came to bring me home. At first mama cried and cried. She looked at the clay paw print and the inked paw print and my soft, soft fur, and the little box I was in, and it was very hard for her. My daddy made a special wooden box for me. Now my things and the paw prints comfort mama. It will be so for your mama someday too, Louis.

Yes Louis is alright and happy. And like you, my Dad will love me forever more.

Our Vet sent flowers and a card, which had my fur tied with a blue ribbon. And my four paw prints on cards. Dad has my ashes in an urn too.

Dad has all these at home - something of me - forever more.

You will in your time appreciate very much that you still have a bit of sweet Louis with you, at home. Along with any of his white McDonald's forks.

Louis, and you, have helped us see how much of a sweet boy he is. A beautiful boy he is.

Love Felix xo

Welcome home, Louis, but we know you never really left just your body did. We know you will dividr your time between heaven and earth and never be in pain again. You run free and young like wen you were a kitten but we will never forget you and you will never forget those you love.
Sharon, in the end the last act of love that we can perform for our babies is to release them from pain and say "goodbye" until we join them.
Louis was loved by so many. He was part of our extended family. I look forward to meeting him some day. If I can help you in any way let meknow.
Love
Elise & Mommy

Louis is having a wonderpurr time with all of us angels, we are busy watching over other kitties and our families...he was a fighter as I was and what our Moms did was the a wonderful gift of peace...we both know our Moms loved us and neither of us wanted to leave but it was time and our Moms knew in their hearts that we needed to go..

Sharon take your time and know that we are all here when you are ready to return. I still have a hard time, but I have found that coming here when I can I do find comfort, yes it is hard to go to Tallulah's page and look at her precious face, I still cry but Catster Mom's have a way of comforting me and I know that they will help you too...

We are glad you let us know Louis is finally home where he belongs..

We love Louis and he was a big help to my Tallulah when she was so sick, thank you Sharen and louis...may you find comfort and peace again when you are ready...

Dear Sharon,

I am glad that Louis is back at home with you where he belongs. You will always have part of him with you, now and forever more. I hope you will find comfort when you look upon his paw print, touch his soft fur, or hold him in his urn. I often told Louis this, and it is so true; Louis was one in a million...actually, one in a hundred million! No one compares to him.

I hope you will be able to return to Catster when the pain of losing him is less. We all long to keep Louis's memory alive. We can't wait to see what adventures he is having in his new home, The Rainbow Bridge. Take your time Sharon. We will be here for you when you are ready...

Love,

Renee, (Ruby's Meowmy) and Ruby Fur Angel XOXOXOX

Dear Sharon,

We love Louis and we love you too. Take all the time you need to do what you need to do-- cry, laugh, stare into space, lay in bed, snuggle with Ethan, talk to Louis' spirit-- whatever. Come back when you're ready. We'll be here.

Sharon:

We couldn't express more aptly what Calvin's Mom said earlier--we won't even try, but we feel exactly the same way.

It never gets any easier when we have to make the final decision for one of our fur babies. Take comfort in knowing that you've been a wonderful pawrent and that nothing can ever change the love you two shared.

Sharon,
I am SO sorry for your loss. I came across Louis in the September Faxo pet contest and He stole my heart. I knew he wasn't well, so I entered him in the October contest for you. A group of us on faxo have worked really hard to get him in first place for you, and he is there now, where he belongs. We will work hard to keep him there Sharon. He was an adorable little boy and I know he bought you great love and joy.
Hugs to you..
