outdoors Arrival Story: Ok...well, this is a feral cat that showed up on our doorstep over a year ago. He pretty much comes and goes as he pleases and we are unable to get closer than three feet from him. We are working on creating a bond so that we can eventually get him into a vet and fixed since he has decided to father babies with all the feral females in the area. Unfortunately, people keep dumping cats in our area and the rest of us have to deal with the problems that arise from too many unfixed cats. (I guessed at a birthday date because I couldn't add him onto Catster with no date....who knows how old he is????) UPDATE: November 24th 2010...he was gone for 36 hours....had a huge snowstorm so he was hunkered down somewhere...I went out today with food and he was sooo happy he rubbed on my leg and I reached down and rubbed his back. He is healthy and chunky thanks to our feeding him and who knows what he is catching. I am THRILLED!!! This is a banner day.UPDATE: Dec. 14th 2010...I am able to pick him up, hold him and he comes running when I call. I can sit on the porch and he crawls into my lap. He is starting to let my husband rub him and pet him but two people on him is kinda scary for him. Couple more weeks and we take him to be fixed...yippeeee.....Jan 1 2011....he is wintering right now in our laundry room cause temps were in the minus' over the past couple of days and we worried he would freeze. He has settled in nicely so next step is the do wacka do...and then he should mellow out. Update Jan 13, 2011...tomorrow is snip snip day at the vet. Hope this changes his wanting to fight with everyone and definitely will change his status as the valley "stud".....Update: Stormy was fixed on January 14th...he did really well and was kept indoors for three days post surgery. Now we let him out and he doesn't wander that far away. Usually goes for 3 hours down to the creek area and around the acreage then back to the house. We are SO glad that we fixed him. Think he is gonna make an awesome mouser now that he is hanging around the house more. YAY Bio: Nothing...we know nothing. He has a big mouth...always talking away to us....we keep food, water and a bed in our barn along with a cat box so he has a warm place to bed down in cold weather. He still won't let us touch him but he gets closer all the time.....see updates Lives Remaining: 9 of 9 The Groups I'm In: **Catstertown**, ~~~*♥Dog Park USA♥*~~~ I've Been On Catster Since:
