Arrival Story:
Scratchy came to our no-kill shelter in Salt Lake City through one of our volunteer veterinarians that donates their time to help our animals. Scratchy is front and back declawed, and her owners did not want her anymore when she became picky on how well her litter box was maintained. She does not do well with change and anyone who gets her will have to let her go through adjustment on her own terms. She is very sweet and loves attention. She has not been in a home for about 2 years (mostly living at the vet's office), so she will need some more time than other cats to adjust. To learn more about her personality read her periodic diary about her day.

Introduction of myself

Hi I'm scratchy and I live at Petsmart. I have been in a foul mood for the last couple of years of my life since I have been homeless. People do come and look at me more and I am getting used to the attention. I rub against the bars but then I remember that I am supposed to be mad at the world and hiss and bat the people. My newest mom says she is going to be very picky on who gets me since I have my "MOOD SWINGS" whatever that means, the only thing I see swinging is the toy that is attached to my cage when I bat at it.
