Happy Halloween!
the 2 treats I get are the "not so good for you kind" Mom does have freeze dried ones, but I don't really like them. Nana went bonkers last Christmas & bought a bunch of bags for us (Party Mix, Whisker Lickins & the like) She meant well, so that is why I only get a couple. Maizy doesn't get any of them anymore, mom is trying to keep her totally grain free. But she will eat these freeze dried chicken breast strips, so she gets that. I eat some wet food - Natures Variety & Halo, but the vet had wanted me on the urinary food for 6 months since I had crystals. I go back for my checkup next month, so there will be a discussion about it, as mom does NOT want me on that um...stuff any more. I know Mom gets nervous about it, because Tig got blocked a 2nd time, and he was only eating wet food. So Mom will ask if there is a medication or some way that would prevent crystals maybe so that we can just eat the wet food, and not have to worry.

Oh Smithwick I know how you feel, I had the same things and I hated the special food...Mom didn't let me eat too much dry food and we had to free feed....grain free is good.

We hope your Mom will find something that you will like...there are some homeopathic meds out there that might help...Mom liked using Tinkle Tonic from Apawthacary! when she thought I was trying to get URI she would give it to me...she did that I never had to go to the vet again...but every cat is different.

Hi Smitty,

I had kidney stones about 10 years ago. The stones were actually in my urethra. I had to have an operation to remove them. Ever since, the vet told me to eat Hill's Prescription c/d. In fact, all of us used to eat it. The vet said it was ok because the food was nutritionally balanced. Even now, Tiger and Tiny still eat it! They both think it's yummy. I used to eat that and maybe a half can of Fancy Feast every day. I never had any more problems with stones after that.
