Update on me and update on cousin Midnight

Well, let's start with cousin Midnight. The vet feels she probably does have Feline Urological Syndrome (cystitis). My poor mom spent this afternoon trying to hold Midnight and make her pee in her box with only those stupid charcoal pellets. She did pee but not enough I guess so after Midnight's mom rushed those things to the vet, they said (it's not enough). I don't know that they can get her to do it again. She wouldn't, mom had to hold her there and then she went up the stairs and took an explosive SMELLY poop at the top. She was furry nervous I guess. Poor thing. Poor mommy almost passed out. But they didn't give her any medicine for it until they test her urine and again, don't know if they can get her to do this. So we'll see. But the vet said her kidneys look good, her bladder looks good, etc. So we don't think she has an obstruction.

Now for me and my never ending doody-ness. I was starting to really come around on Saturday but then yesterday I became a poopy/doody head again. I ran away from mom after I let her pet me and I upset her when I did this because I looked at her again like I hated her. Then last night she said "the heck with you, I can't deal with you right now" and because she was ignoring me, I kept going into the living room and trying to take down the curtains and make her come after me. Today when mom got home she was trying to take a nap with Lacey on the bed and I went over and tried to scratch the mattress and bug her as if nothing ever happened.

You know when the tabbies said I was yanking her chain? That's what mom kind of thinks I'm doing. I don't see any chains hanging off of mom anywhere but she still says I'm yanking them. You tabbies give my mommy all sorts of ideas!!! MOL. Anyfur, we still don't know what's going on with me but I'm not being very good. One of mommy's good friends online said that recently she wore her sneakers in the house, which she doesn't usually do. And she rubbed them up against her kitty Ozzy accidentally. He freaked out and didn't come near her for THREE WEEKS! She didn't even hurt him, she just rubbed her shoe up against him and she didn't even know he was there.

We kitties can certainly be a little on the cuckoo side don't you think?

Many purrs for Midnight are continuing.

Finney, if you rattle and pull on your Mom's chains enough they will break, and then what will hold her together? You gotta start being nice again...PAWLEASE??!?

Our meowmy is sending out a huge load of those cyber hugs, expect them to arrive with a big thud, but pawlease do not let it freak you out even more, MOL!

Did you hear our dog-guy barking...he heard the thunk when those hugs make sure you stay away from the door so your Mom can go and get them and put them to use...I know there is a big demand for them!

I can see why they are in big demand. Mom is going to get them right now. OOOOH she says they're heavy cause there's so many!!! Thank you guys!

If he acts like he hates you I would just make light of it. Try to charm him? Sweet talk him? Would that work? If you talk to him with a nice voice he'll know you love him.

Purrs continue for cousin Midnight. Can the vet get pee out of her by sticking a needle in her bladder from the outside. There's probably a fancy word to say that but I can't think right now.

Needle aspiration and yes she can but she didn't want to yet. She said it's a big deal. Others have told me it's not so I don't know. I'd have to look it up.

OOOOOHHHHH YYYYYEEAAAHHHH, mom has been sweet talking me for days!!!! Doing the blinkity blink blink with her eyes and everything. Worked for one night.

Finn, quit messing with your Mom. That's not nice!

Poor Midnight, let her know she will be in our purrs till she gets better. It's hard trying to pee with someone watching.

I'm a DDPPPPPPPP! Wow, maybe I should be a doodyhead more often! NOT! Mom is giving Midnight some of the Only Natural Pet Kidney Support. It really works and it can't hurt. So hopefully that will start to help. Zach you are so right! No one likes people to watch them pee. Although crazy as it sounds I used to like mom to watch me pee and poop. I used to do it on command. MOL.

How Iz seez it - if we was predictable, we'd be dogs. Wez cats, it is our nature to keep 'em guessing. But it ain't fun to make your mom sad when shez got so much goin' on. Behave for a day or two Finney!

Guess what guys. The clicker freaked me out big time!!! Lacey liked it and thought it was cool but not me, I ran like the coward I am. NO CLICKER for me. sigh. Mom says I am such a big wuss.
Purred by: Pipo (Catster Member)

December 13th 2011 at 6:24 pm

Sorry you freaked over the clicker.
Long ago before our time here on earth, meowmy 'trained' Simba & later Toki to do a few tricks by 'clucking' with her tongue, just like she was using a clicker, only it is a lot quieter and natural sounding...and you do not have to have the clicker ready to use...cause evfurry one always has a tongue handy, MOL!

When you are referred to as a doodyhead/poopyhead/dodohead,(etc), that makes meowmy think of times that she needed to use the words Kaaskop, or Stijfkop, which are Dutch words translated as Cheeshead, and stiff head...MOL! MOL!
How about Thunderhead?!

Concats on being a DDP, today! That should help your mindset we hope!

Hugs to your Mom! And congrats to her for being so patient...mostly!

Girls are SO much smarter than boys. Lacey is gonna get ALL the good treats that your Mom is giving out during clicker training. You, Finney are just a Pighead. Yup, you are so pig-headed and you want to have things YOUR way.

Kaaskop, Pighead, Poopyhead, Doodyhead. Finnegan, you are just impossible. Hmpf.

Oh, I almost forgot. Concats to your DDP. Now behave yourself or no treats for being DDP.

Wow Mietzi! Remind me never to get you mad at me. MOL.

HEY! Okay I'm back, it's me Finney. Mietzi you're kind of cute when you're mad. MOL. Pipo now you and Mietzi are giving my mom new words in different languages to say to me and I won't understand her! Oh boy, I'm in trouble.

I was laying in my bed on my back with my belly up and my toesies sticking out of the bed tonight! I haven't done that in a week. I was nice and relaxed sleeping in there tonight. So I'm kind of getting there. Mom is thinking of ordering a calming collar.

If your mom always gets really excited and worked up when you tear at the curtains, you probably just figure that it's a quick way to get her attention. My mom said your mom should trim the tips off your claws, but SHE said that, not ME. I think your mom should reward any good behavior you do and ignore the bad.

I am so sorry that I didn't know that you were Diary Pick....Fabulous!!!.....
Yes, there are times that you cats do things that we just don't understand.....
May I ask a questions!......Do male cats act strange too at times? Natasha did just what you have done. Perhaps the female cats are smarter and are trying to communicate and we aren't getting the message....Please be good to your mom.
She is so great with you, guys and helps others...
