Arrival Story:
My story is one of near tragedy and true mericales. It was a bitter and brutally cold winter day in February. Just two days before Valentines day. There was snow on the ground and temps were near frezzing. I was all alone, cast of the only home that I had ever known into a world that was unfamiliar and terrifying. At first I didn't know what to think or what to do so, I just sit there mewing in hopes that my hooman would come back for me. But, they never did. After a few days of watching and waiting my tummy started to hurt so, I had no choice but to go and look for food. This was all new to me too, this haveing to look for food wasn't working out to well for me sense I hadn't the first idea as to how to go about it in the first place. For a while people in the park would toss me a scrap or two here and there but, like all things lately that too stoped. For a while I was able to find shelter (if you could call it that) in the trees and I soon learned that if I hung out where the ducks were that I could get food. I just had to be quicker then those foul mouth ducks and gesse were. But, as the weather started getting cooler and cooler the people came to the park less and less. Which menat my one and only source of food had almost completely dried up. Then the snow came and things were starting to change all around me. The once green grass was now all white and covered in these small tiny white flakes there were very, very cold. I had never seen this this sort of thing before so, I climed out of my tree and went to investigate it. It didn't take me long to figure that this white stuff would melt as soon as something warm touched it. So I started liking it and for some reason I couldn't stop. I hadn't realized just how thirsty and hungry I really was until then. The sun hadn't even come up yet and still the white stuff was falling all around me. It was getting colder and colder by the minute and the few meger shelters were all ready occupied by other animals. I couldn't go back to my tree. It was all coverd and dripping with snow. My fur was starting to get wet and my paws were soaked from walking in the stuff. I walked and walked looking for a dry place to lay but, all the other animals had gotten there before me. The wind was starting to blow harder and harder and the snow was falling quicker and faster and I had no place to go. Sense the wind and snow was blowing in my face I couldn't see very well and I rolled down a hill and ended up laying on my side beside a tall wooden fence. I picked my self up and tried to huddle under a near by bush but, even that wasn't enough to keep my dry. After a while my whole body started shaking and I couldn't make it stop. I had eaten and licked so much of the white cold stuff earlier that my insides were now cold too. I looked up at the gray morning sky and asked God if I was gonna die here today? Was this how it was gonna end for me? I looked sky ward for a few minutes more and then something blew up my nose. My nose started to twitch and my hard went in circles trying to figure out what this smell was and where it was coming from. Then finally I got a good whiff of it and started following the scent. It was slow going at first. My feet were stiff and unwilling to move as fast as I was wanting them to. but, I willed each foot forward. The steps were becoming painful but, I couldn't stop now. What ever that smell was it had taken over my mind. It was moving me forward even when every muscle in my body cried out for me to stop. I was oblivious to ever thing else around me except that smell. Then finally, there it was! I had found it and it was the most beautiful thing that I had ever felt. It was warmeth! Some how there was a blast of warm heat coming out of a vent in a wall. I wanted to crawl inside, curl up and never leave. But, all I could do was sit down in front of it, drop my head and keep my all ready soaked back to the brutal wind and soooo very cold snow that just wouldn't stop assulting me. I don't know how long I had been there,my mind was slipping. One minute I would be asleep and the next I would be awake. I was hungry, thirst, wet, cold and worn out. I must have dozed off again cause the next thing I knew there was a warm hand picking my up. I didn't have the strength to pro test or even let out a mew. All I could do was just lay there and let what ever happend-happen. The next think I new I was being shoved into this dark but oh so warm place. I just curled up and tried to soak up as much heat as I could but, there never seemed to be enough. A few minutes later I was pulled out of this warm dark place and I saw a very warm lovely smile looking down at me. I thought that I had died and really gone to heaven. Then I felt something so warm and soft being wrapped around my body. I gave into it and let the warmeth soak into ever starand of fur. This went of from some time and each time I was wrapped in this warmth I started to realize that I hadn't really died at all that some how God had helped me to save my self. This woman had taken me in and given me life all over again. Needless to say she stayed with me all throught the day. Keeping me warm and giving me lots of warm food and water to drink. I hadn't know it at the time but I was stearing death right in the whiskers but, this time life won in the end. I am happy to say that I have made a full recovery and that I am a very happy and healty kit that now has a new fur ever home with the hooman that God sent.

Well, it's been over two weeks now sense I showed up on mama's door step. *what a day that was* and my life couldn't get any better. There have been lots of first's for me. Like having my very first fish, my own fluffy kitty bed, and a real family! I have to admit that in the beginning none of my new fursibs liked me very much at all. They all hissed at me! It took a few day's but, I started winning them over slowely but surely. Chloe, on the other hand is still hissing at me *I think she really likes me* but, she has to keep up appearances around the other kits. Mama thinks that I am sweeter then honey and cuter then cute *I think she's a bit biased* and, she tells me all the time that she loves me and that's she's so glad that I am here. Although they may be a bit disfunctional I wouldn't trade any of them, specially mama! Ok, maybe I would try to sell the dog to a circus *he's such a doofus*. I think that he would look so cute in a tutu dancing around with prissy poodles. Sides, he's ALWAYS getting in trouble with mama bout something.

I might be a little kit but I sure am mighty!
