   Leave a treat for Chester

Kitty Complexion:
sleepyvery active
not curiousvery curious
not vocalvery vocal

Quick Bio:
-mixed breed-pound cat

Brown Tabby

Chester likes to have his back scratched, his belly scratched, his ears scratched, his sides scratched and his tail held onto while he walks.

Being brushed with the rake-comb. Most human visitors.

Favorite Toy:
laundry, string ties on clothes, butterflies (paper tied to a string)

Favorite Nap Spot:
On Mom and Dad's bed, in the sun.

Favorite Food:
Chester only eats one kind of food, and goes through the ritual of burial of any other. (However, he has been seen eating vanilla ice cream from a spoon...more than once.)

Chester's meow is more like a chirp.

Arrival Story:
We adopted Chester when he was three months old from our local ASPCA shelter. We had adopted our first cat, Max, from the same place and he had given us 19 long years of friendship. After Max died, we decided that it would take at least two kittens to fill the void he had left. We adopted two kittens that day, three months after Max left us. Chester and Lily aren't related, but they were definately made for each other. Chester is shy and cautious and very loving. He never bites or scratches, and is always ready to play or beg for attention from any of us in the family. He does not like company, however. Whenever anyone comes to the house, he runs and hides until they are gone! It's a pity, because he's such a lover! Everyone thinks we really only have one cat! Chester is a perfect companion kitty!

It's been very unnerving around here lately! I can't get a decent nap and my bath time is constantly being interrupted! I mean, what else is there to look forward to on these beautiful spring days!?? The oldest human kitten came home and brought all these boxes and smelly things with her and now, all these other human kittens are constantly coming into my house and I'm always having to hide! I don't like all this noise and confusion! I want my quiet house back! (Think I'll go have a bite to eat while it's kinda quiet......)

My human wanted me to write that she accidently deleted mail from someone who wanted to be our friend! Two, actually. Now, I have all the patience in the world with my human. I love her, in fact. But, this is close to unforgivable!!!! I didn't even know who it was who wanted to be my friend! I'm so upset about it, I'm going to nap now.

Ladybug Day

Mom opened the upstairs windows today! The ones that get all the sunshine and I can stretch all out right up next to the outside! There was so much to smell and listen to! I got so excited that I started to doze! It was wonderful! But, I learned about another warm-weather event. Ladybug Day! Ech...Ech!! I was having such a warm nap until I felt this stuff falling on my fur. I tried to ignore it, and did pretty well for awhile. I was almost back to napland when something hit me square on the nose! I woke up to find ladybugs (Ech!) all over me and around me and under me! I freaked! I got up, shook one off my paw and immediately went and told Mom! To my amazement, she laughed! She helped me get them off of my fur, but she laughed!!! I was mortified and had to bathe twice as long just to get the smell off of me! I decided that under the dining room table was the best place to finish my nap. So I did.
