Arrival Story:
For my 15th birthday my father bought me a kitty cat. I went to the local no-kill shelter to pick a kitty. I immediately fell in love with this one cat named Tuesday who was kept in a cage. I convinced my dad to let me have the long haired cat but when I went to take her out she would not let me touch her. I decided to look around a bit more and went to the play room where all the friendly kitties played. I stepped into this little play room and looked down. Laying on a kitty bed was an orange and white cat they named 'Boy'. He was laying completely on his back with his tummy exposed, rolling back and forth. He was the most adorable cat I had ever seen! He had been rescued with some other kitties and was about 2 years old. He was very badly matted. I took him home and he was very shy and scared but after a while he became the king of the house. We helped him brush away all his mats and now all my friends say that he is the most beautiful cat they have ever seen.

Bio:
When Toulouse first came home he could not make a sound. He would open his mouth like he was meowing but nothing ever came out. It was almost two years before we ever heard even the smallest noise come from him but now after many years he is extremely talkative. I talk to him all day when I am home and he replies with many different sounds. However he still does the silent meow sometimes, especially when I casually speak to him. Whenever me or his Daddy say "hello" he will give us a silent meow and nod his head. Some people think it's odd but I know it's just his way of saying hi. Toulouse is a very affectionate kitty but he cannot be forced into it. He loves to sit on people and crawl under their heads while they sleep to be a nice pillow but doesn't like it if you put him there. He is a very sweet kitty and I am convinced that he understands when I am sick or sad. If he sees me crying he immediately comes to me, licks me and sits around my face.

I'm so angry!

Today was just a horrid day for me. Justice, the huge ugly German Shepard, managed to get into my bedroom and tried to sniff me! But Mama protected me and Daddy kicked him out. Things got better from there but then.. my mommy and daddy came home with a "present" for me.

And what was it? A new catnip toy? Negative. A comfy pillow? Nope.
It's a kitten. And his name is Connor.

He's absolutely insane! He keeps running around the room and touching my things. He is very clumsy, unlike me, and slips and slides all over the place. He even tried to sit at my window! The nerve....

I've been hissing at him and now I hate it when my mama tries to pick me up, I just growl at her. I'm very mad that she brought home this new baby! I'm the only kitty they need!

Mama has hope that maybe we will be better friends later on but that is doubtful.

On a lighter and happier note - Mama's roommates are moving which means that big dumb dog will be gone for good and I will always be free to roam the house without having to wait for him to be locked up. This is very exciting news. Maybe I won't hate Connor so much once we have more space.

But for now he better stay away from my food and window...or else.

Until next time,
Toulouse ~
