I wrote a response and I do want him to know -I love him and still want to give him nudges. I just had to respond.
So here goes:
Catster is for having fun, developing lasting friendships and comforting those who need a shoulder to lean on. There are lots of kids on this site. They come here for fun and smiles. Catster's teach about kindness to animals. People want to help each other with their questions or problems.
We do have our sadness too. The cycle of a normal life is shown here. From birth, to caring for and living with cats, to Rainbow Bridge. Comfort and compassion is the agenda.
I think views expressed in writing are fine but, not photos. Expression is good for the soul. Abuse photos have their place. Catster is not that place.
There are many other places one can go to express the concerns in living color. You have a much larger network to pull from. More unknowing people who may learn something from those awful photos.
We here at Catster are well aware of the horrors of animal abuse. Many of us have seen it first hand. Much is spoken on a one on one bases as we know there are people who don't want the exposure.
People get pretty aggressive and down right hateful when it comes to abuse. We don't welcome that kind of discussions here.
I have been involved in the Caboodle Ranch Story ever since it began and there are some real sick people out there who don't know how to argue and talk intelligently. Some horrific and brutal terminology in their discussions. If fact some of those on Facebook are now being served warrants themselves for threats. That's not Catster.
Many who have left Facebook to return to a more comfortable setting. And Catster's pay for that right as members. When members speak on Catster they are heard.
If you are asked not to do something please agree. The object is not to hurt, offend and above all, cause some young person to leave Catster at night and have nightmares.
Kitties needing homes are displayed here a lot on the pages. Fosters, Vets, Vet Techs, Shelter employees and volunteers, pet shops owners and their employees and have pages here. Catster more then plays their part in finding homes for abandoned cats.
Don't take offense to the responses on this page. Some will agree, some will partly agree but, all Catster's are a far different breed then other groups.
A good warm feeling is what a Catster wants when they turn off their computers and go to bed with their furs.

Annie, the editorial wanted us not to post abuse or death row kitties on our fb page...not catster. thats what got my tail in a knot. catster is not the place to post that, but if good peoples post kitties and pics there, in hopes of changing a law, or saving a life,,,i think it is well worth the 5 seconds it takes to "share" on fb.
Daddy's fb page is almost nothing but death row kitties. he prays it saved 1 life. just 1. then he feels it's worth it
headbonks to you, neighbor. we all love you, and still purr for Mr Z
OMG they have got to be kidding. I'm sorry I read it wrong. Dumb me. If Facebook wants to put a stop to offensive abuse photos then they need to start with some of the big non profit organization Facebook pgs., They post horrid and morbid photos trying to get their points across and gain more followers. . I do share some of the death row kitties on my pages. Does that make my pg. bad too??? Facebook has safeguards built in to remove posts from your pgs. that you don't want to see. Get real. I have a problem with reading things right lately. I guess I need more catnaps. Sorry again. Nudges.
the editorial was from a catster contributor...on the catster blog, asking we don't post on our fb pages... my 1st thought was, if you do not want to see, don't look...don't tell us to stop, because you don't want to see it... fb is proper forum for the pics...catster is not the proper forum to have a contributor tell us it offends them
