Arrival Story:
During the winter in 2007 there was a stray cat wandering around the houses at our previous home. My sister, Amber, and I loved cats, so we could not resist in taking her home to show the family. We named the cat, Calico, because of her tri-colored coat, and despite my Dad's resistance in keeping a cat he reluctantly gave in.
Calico hung around me a lot and I enjoyed petting and holding her. A week or so after she came to live with us I noticed how plump her belly was. No matter how many times I claimed the she-cat was pregnant, my parents would dismiss my declaration, stating that she was nothing more than a mere kitten. However, I stuck with my beliefs and near the end of her pregnancy everyone was clued in. On March fifth Calico gave birth to two kittens: one a ginger-and-white tom, Fatty, and the other a calico, Muffin.
Immediately after they were born my Dad stated they would be sent to a new home when they were of age. I was okay with that and hadn't planned on getting attached to any of the kittens. Though, Muffin appeared to enjoy my company when she was older and was always with me afterward and has remained so to this day.
Bio:
Muffin has had two litters of kittens over the years; all going to caring homes. During the first litter she had five adorable babies: Lemon Muffin (ginger-and-white tom), Blueberry Muffin (black-and-white tom), Chocolate Chip Muffin (ginger tom), Poppy Muffin (creamy orange-and-white she-cat), and Mini Muffin (small ginger-and-white she-cat.) The second litter was comprised of: Whitewing (calico she-cat), Squirrelflight (ginger she-cat), Littlecloud (ginger-and-white tom), Sunstripe (ginger-and-white tom), and Nightcloud (black-and-white tom). They were all a lively bunch and there isn't a day I don't think of them; I am sure Muffin does too. The father of both litters was her brother, Fatty.
