As the effects of superstorm Sandy are felt throughout the East Coast, the flush felines of Ca$hCats.biz (the Tumblr blog dedicated to displaying pix of kitties ‘n’ currency) are doing their part to raise money for storm relief.
For $11, the online store offers a limited-edition C.R.E.A.M. mug by Lisa Hildebrant, featuring her colorful representation of a kitty rolling in dough. Every cat person worth your litter is practically required to own a cat mug anyway, so why not buy a pretty one that also benefits a good cause?
For the high rollers, there’s an over-the-top, premium C$C$ photo kit (limited edition of one), available to the lucky person who coughs up $5,000 worth of hairballs for the honor.
For that pile of cash, you’ll receive $2,500 in assorted nonsequential bills, a bottle of Mo├½t Grand Vintage 2004, a Nikon D3000 10.2mp SLR camera, a one-hour photo tutorial with a professional photographer, and perhaps most notably, “ur pic will be featured on cashcats.biz 4 lifetime internet fame.”
While the pool of takers for the $5,000 photo kit is limited to those who have their own cats and can pick up their spoils in Brooklyn, we’re sure it won’t be long until the Cash Cats find a high-net-worth feline who uses her powers of purrsuasion to convince their human to participate.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from both items go to the Red Cross and can be purchased at the Ca$hCats.Biz Store.
