What’s the 12 Cats of Christmas? Well, each day we pluck one notable furball who’s made a huge and lasting impression on our hearts over the last 12 months and revisiting their story. Consider it your daily festive feline gift.
Today’s cat is someone with a recognizably crabby face …
11. Grumpy Cat
2013 saw Grumpy Cat’s plans for world domination continue apace as the feline with the most lovably cantankerous facade managed to expand Brand Grumpster into the fields of movies and coffee.
Full details about Grumpy’s big screen debut are still shrouded in secrecy, but it’s believed that the venture will eschew the obvious path of turning the feline into an animated character in favor of attempting to persuade her to mug it up for the camera. What price a cameo from the equally put-upon Henri?
Grumpy Cat’s successful 2013 also saw the launch of the canny feline’s own iced-coffee drink, named Grumppuccino. It looks like this.
Showing a fearless disregard for the possibility that curmudgeonly cats might not actually be that skilled in the ancient art of java, Catster dispatched Cat Dandy to brave the beverage. After literally um-ing and ah-ing, he declared, “It’s definitely a drink. It’s definitely sweet. (Maybe.) It certainly has a coffee flavor. (I think.) It’s better cold than at room temperature. (Or not.) I want more. (Except not really.) But maybe I do.” So, glad we cleared that up.
