Arrival Story:
Bio: The Dude (that's me!) was born at Furry Dance Cattery, one of 2 kittens. I grew into a very handsome young boycat. My fudnluvgivers decided to take me to a few cat shows to see how I liked it. I made friends everywhere, from New York to San Francisco. I've even had a try in the Agility competition. I turned in to Teri's "Heart Cat", which means I has filled a spot in her heart that the loss of Bossiney made. I am so much like Bo that it's uncanny! The last photo on my page isn't me...but it sure looks like me, doesn't it? That is my Mentor Angel. His name was Bo (short for Bossiney). He was my purrson's firstest, bestest showcat and "Heart" cat. I am supposed to follow in his pawsteps and so far, I am doing purrty good...I weigh the same; I am being a good showcat like Bo was; and everyone who knew Bo thinks I am like his brother!

A Day in the Life...

...the lost diaries, hahameow!

MeWowZa! The Long Lost Diary of Brighton has been discovered by archeologists! Not really, it has just been dormant so long cuz I spend most of my time blogging now, or strollering, or making sure TomTom doesn't gain entrance into our castle!

It looks like the last Diary entry that was about me was way back in 2008, so this diary is kinda like buried treasure, hahameow! So, let's see...what have I been up to since then??

Oh, I almost went to the Bridge back in June 2010 cuz I had a urinary blockage. I won't go into details here, but I had to spend 3 days in an Emergency Hospital! The Cat Blogosphere had an auction to help Teri with my vet bills (we donated like 40 things to the auction, too) and that was a big success! I have been in 100% perfect health since then, and take some healthy treats (tasty medicine) and have a water fountain and eat lots of wet food so that never happens again!

Let's see, oh--I went to 2 Blog Paws pet blogging conferences and met lots of dogs, a few cats and even a couple of ferrets (I hissed at them, sorry...). It was loads of fun and I have lots of new friends who follow our blog now!

Teri retired from breeding Cornish Rex cats last year, so now everyone in the house is 'fixed' and we are happy about that cuz we get lots more attention now there are only 4 of us that Teri has to spread the love with, hahameow. Even Disco stopped spray marking and got to stop taking anxiety meds! Life is Good!

If you would like to follow us on our blog (since we aren't on Catster very often these days) come on over to and say hello!

Vote for Nani!

We would like to ask all our Catster friends to help Nani win a photo contest!

Sweet Nani recently became a Angel cat, when at the age of 14 her severe heart problem which was diagnosed when she was only a year old took her from us suddenly, but we have sweet memories of her and lots of photos!

The photo we entered in the contest at is one of her wearing the same pink wig that our Kiki is wearing on her Catster page. We think Nani looks a little like Barbra Streisand in the photo and we are hoping she wins this weeks contest, which runs from Wednesday February 17th at 1:00pm PST and ends Tuesday February 23rd at 1:00pm PST.

You can only vote once from the same computer so if you have multiple computers, Smart Phones etc...just like when all our furrends helped Coco become Cat President in a last minute landslide vote, you could honor Nani's memory and help her win The Best Pet Photo Contest this week and we would win a beautiful digital art painting of her!

Here's the link to vote
You have to vote for each pet photo to be able to move to the next one, and give Nani a "10" and we'd be furry grateful!

Cat Tails

Hmmm, now I know why they call that plant a Cat Tail...

I was hanging in the Stud Room while the ceiling in the basement was getting painted, and Sammy chased me, whacked me and while I was trying to escape...he bit my tail. The workers told Catma a commotion was going on in there, but she didn't think much of it. Til we were heading for bed and I hopped up on the bathroom sink (NO, not that bathroom...that room is still off limits to us!) for a drink of water and she saw blood on my tail. She couldn't see much cuz I wouldn't let her touch it--Yeow! it hurt. So she started me on antibiotics and took me in to work with her the next day.

I had to get some sleepy gas and have my lovely whippy tail shaved...right in the middle, so you guessed it--my tail looks like a Cattail. They found 2 bite marks and lots of bruising, but no infection since Catma started me on meds right away. I had to take pills for 7 days, twice a day, gag gag. But I am all better now, but think my tail's gonna look like a bad hair day for quite a while.

I had lots of fun with the contractors and helpers and checkin' out all the tools (Tool Time for Cats!) and rubbing up against all the helpers and sniffing in all the boxes and playing hide and seek with all the furniture moved around, it made it a great adventure!

Now, the baby kittens are keeping me busy, since they have room to romp in the living room now. I have to teach them how to be Cool Cats and earn my cat treats! It's pretty easy, keeping an eye on them, since there is only 4 of 'em. But they can fit under things a big cat like me can't and Catma got worried the other day when she couldn't find one...but he showed up from someplace, right behind her! She told me I wasn't a very good detective when she was searching for him...

Well, that's all the mews for now, I think I heard food calling...
