Leave a treat for Elizabeth

Nicknames: Beth, Duchess, Sister Mary Grouchy-Pants

Coloration: Black and White

Likes: getting belly rubs, being brushed, COMPANY! (it means more people to pet her), my nephew Jack

Pet-Peeves: her brothers and sister, having a "maniclaw" (toenail trim), the cat carrier

Favorite Toy: ping pong balls

Favorite Nap Spot: in her basket or on the couch - but wherever she is, she's easy to find because she snores!

Favorite Food: tuna, freeze-dried tuna flakes, and crackers and potato chips (she loves salt!)

Skills: Beth has always loved to climb and jump, but as she gets older this has gotten more difficult. She's going to start acupuncture at her vet's to try to help with the stiffness and arthritis, so we're hoping someday soon she'll be back to her old tricks!

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story: Elizabeth and her brother Nicholas were stray kittens born at a friend's house. They eventually came to live with me, but all their brothers and sisters are still at their original home

Bio: Beth is the friendliest of my cats (at least to people) - she LOVES attention - especially if the attention includes getting her belly petted or her ears rubbed. She loves to be brushed, which is a good thing as her fur gets matted easily.

Lives Remaining: 9 of 9

Well, I have had 2 acupuncture treatments and I am feeling much better! My hips and my knee do not hurt as much, and I am moving around more and even eating more. Mommy says I am being nicer to my brothers and my sister too.
I go back for another treatment on Tuesday. Mom says the pins/needles do not seem to hurt me too much. As long as my mom pets me I lay on the table and am quiet while Dr. Jean gives me the acupuncture. Mom said I look like a pin cushion while I'm having the treatment.
Thanks to Madison Paws and to a lot of other friends who have been purring for me!

Well, my mom decided she thinks I should try acupuncture because I am getting more stiff and arthritic. I'm 13, so I guess that's to be expected. I already take kitty glucosamine, and I am very good about letting mom pill me. Our vet, Dr. Jean, says she thinks acupuncture will help, but I am a little nervous! Will those needles hurt? My dog cousin, Cody, has had acupuncture and Mom said it didn't look like it hurt him.
I'll let you know how it goes! I think I will yell at my mom all the way to the vet's office, anyway. I don't like the car.
