Arrival Story:
Parker used to live with a friend of a friend. His original guardian became very busy with work and school and felt guilty leaving Parker alone for 16+ hours a day 6 days a week, so Parker came to live me, Groucho (cat) and a pug named Daisy. He was going to live with me from May until September. In October, Parker went back to his original. The very next August, I was asked to care for Parker again, this time for a year while his owner dealt with some personal issues. I was nervous because he didn't seem to really love all the love and attention from my other cat. I agreed. Within two weeks Parker and Groucho were best buds. I decided Parker was not leaving my house again. I waited until the year was almost up and then broke the news to his original keeper that Parker was bonded to Groucho and they could not and would not be separated. He was sad, but also happy because he knew he was well take care of. His original had gotten him from a shelter as a kitten. Parker received his kitten shots and was neutered through the shelter and never saw a vet again, except the time he was seriously ill with an upper respitory infection. In the two years that he has been with me he has been in twice for vaccinations and two other times when he just wasn't acting "right".
