HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I wish our Mommy a happy Mother's Day and also everycats' Mommies too!

We got a bunch of #1 Mom freebee gifts from HQ that our friends can send us. I thank the family of Louis LeBeau and Milo Blue Eyes for mine.

As to this Saturday, Mommy tried to do the community yard sale, to no avail. As soon as she set up her stuff in our front yard, it started to rain. She had to carry her umbrella and "tarp" up the merchandise as the rain started to come down heavier. She did this for about an hour; there were no sales so she said "forget it" (putting it mildly). She put everything into the trunk of her car so she could take it to a thrift store later on. Soon after she did this, it stopped raining and the sun came out. "Typical" she said and posted on FB.

She then went around to other yard sales in our neighborhood and talked to one lady who made $300.00!!! She, of course, had very large beach umbrellas hooked up to her tables so the merchandise wouldn't get soaked.

After that, Mommy told me and my bros that she went to Three Brothers for lunch and then to the Laurel Main Street Festival. It was loaded with live music, crafts, food, clothes, etc. She also stopped in to see her friends Cindy & Paul who own a shop on Main Street.

As to today, Mommy went to our Grandma's grave site and put some pretty roses there. She gets sad at this time of year so I tried my best to cheer her up with my fancy Maine Coon sing-songs that I do a lot while I run from room to room.

Lastly, after that rain we had late Friday night and early Saturday morning, today is bright and sunny but much cooler. Mommy has the windows cracked open a little so we can enjoy the breezes and watch the birds.

ON BATHTUBS AND MOTHS AND CENTIPEDES AND BEES

First of all, Mommy's bathtub was clogged. Plungers, bailing out, and Drano didn't free up the human hairball and soap gunk. She had the bathroom door shut for several days until her neighbor got back from vacation. He had a snake (not the reptile kind) which he used to finally get the tub unclogged.

I'm so glad that I got my tub back! Boy oh boy, did I ever miss going in there to chase my tail every day! I hope this clogged tub ordeal doesn't ever happen again!

Secondly, there was a bug called a centipede crawling on the hallway ceiling. It drove me nuts! Mommy eventually caught it when it came down the wall. Also, there was a moth flying around in the hallway, and I cauterwauled at it. Mommy wished she took a video of this. I was acting like a clown!

Lastly, before Mommy left to go shopping, she and I heard a loud buzzing in the living room. It turned out to be a bee which was in a blue jar full of pretty stones. She took the jar outside and set it on the front porch so the bee could fly away. She also told me these bugs "sting".

Well, that's about it. We certainly get a lot of bugs in our house during the springtime. I also forgot to mention the ants, but they don't excite me as the don't buzz or fly.

Got to go now as it's my bedtime.

CONCATS LANDY!

I concated Landy on his Diary Pick today even though he doesn't like my playing with him a lot. Mommy told him it's something called "karma" as he used to pick on Cammie Rose who was the only girl in the house before me while he was living here since 2008. That's a lot of picking on the poor girl!. If you look at it, it does look like karma. Still, I pick on him because I like him as he was the first to actually play with me when I was a kitten.

Sure, I've gotten bigger and still I like him and want to play even though I come over as a bit aggressive. From my point of view, he's always hissing at me and running, and that hurts my feelings.

As to another subject, I have a curly belly and ruff. Mommy googled "Maine Coons with Curly Bellies" and there were some references to a "Maine Wave" or Maine Rex". These curly Maine Coons showed up in litters during the late 1980's in Britain. Maybe I'm one of those type of Coon Cats!

Anyhow, I have more to say but not enough time. I'll have to write later.

THE RAKE

Mommy bought a new comb that removes mats from longhairs and it looks like a small rake. You use it to "rake" up shedded hair to prevent mats from forming and it helps loosen ones that are already there. I had a nasty mat that was nestled in my right armpit, and this comb did the job purrfectly.

Also, I love to be groomed with this rake as it doesn't hurt like other combs do.

Lastly, there's a Chatty Maine Coon video on You Tube. His name is "MicMac" and everytime Mommy plays this video, I jump into her lap and purr and rub against her IPhone. His meowing sounds just like mine; breeps mixed with a honking type of meow that sounds like "maaaah". My sibs pay it no mind. The talking cats video gets to Landy as they do nothing but breep.

Anyway, I must be on my way. I cant' believe how fast weekends go.

16 LICKS

Sampy is 16 years old today! I think I'll give him 16 licks on the top of his head, but not all at once as I'm sure he won't let me. Landy's the only one allowed to do that.

Also, those mourning doves are driving me up the window today. Yesterday, the dove teased Merl. When the dove peeked in the hallway window (or maybe it's several of them that take turns), I flung myself at the window pane and jumped down the stairs. I forgot about the glass being in the way just like Merl and thought I could catch that stupid bird.

Mommy told me these doves make nests every April, and I may see them do this in the redbud tree like they tried in the previous years.

Well, I got to run now and I'm getting tired.

I wish my brother Bail a very pawsome happy birthday. I wish this on behalf of all of us since it's so late. Mommy spent a lot of time trying to load up a lovely birthday pic and finally got it on his page. I think the Catster fleas are hopping big time in the photo-loading area. Bummer!!

Anyway, Bail enjoyed his big day by chillaxing most of the time in the sun patches in the living room and also in the windowsill perch.

Got to go now, it's bedtime.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYCAT!

Today is my first Easter! It was really fun as Mommy cooked this stuff called ham and she was nice enough to let me and my sibs have a little taste. It, of course, was yummy and I wanted more. Mommy told me there's some left over for tomorrow's dinner. I can't wait!

Also, yesterday was a lovely sunny day which got up to around 60 degrees. Today is yucky and rainy! I don't like the idea of a rainy Easter at all!

Also, Mommy did a photo shoot of us kitties laying about on her bed. Rainy weather surely makes us sleepy.

Anyway, I hope everycat is having a safe and pawsome Easter and thank those who have left me some purrty Easter eggs!

Purrs & Breeps,

Joss

P.S. I've been playing fetch and retrieve with my toy mouse. Mommy threw the mouse around ten times last night and I brought it back to her each time.

THIS WEEKEND WAS SOMETHING ELSE!

First of all,Saturday was the nicest of all weatherwise. It went up to the mid 50's and was sunny the whole time. As to Sunday, it was mostly cloudy and only got up to the mid 40's. I think we're going to have a very late springtime. Mommy told me that before I was born (last mid March) the redbud trees were blooming. This year we're about 2-3 weeks behind in things blooming and warming up beyond the lower 60's (two weekends ago).

Anyway, on Saturday, Mommy noted that I had a lumpy thingy under my neck which was stuck to my ruff. It turned out to be a mat which she eventually removed with various combs and one brush. Of course, I put up a fight by biting on the combs and brush and growling and bunny kicking Mommy on her hands. I HATE TO BE COMBED AND BRUSHED!!!

On Sunday, it was a nicer day as I wasn't combed or brushed at all. In fact, I wanted to sit on Mommy's lap while she looked at stuff on her IPhone.

Also, I know how to play fetch and retrieve!! I'm so proud of myself and so's Mommy! She and Sampy told me that he used to do the same thing when he was younger and gave it up when he started getting his heart problems and arthritis. Mommy kept on throwing a wadded up piece of paper and I kept on bringing it back to her just like a dog does. Maine Coon kitties are known for being able to learn this trick.

Lastly, we plan on changing our pages to springtime even though it still feels like winter. They're calling for snow tomorrow. That stinks!

Well, I must go now as it's dinner time.

Joss

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY EVERYCAT!

Happy St. Pat's Day, everycat! I hope your day was great!

Mine was pretty good despite it being awfully cold and cloudy today! I hope it warms up soon.

Also, enjoy my new pics which start with No. 7. I'm getting more floofy with each day and my colors are changing. My black tail has some white hairs in it, and of course, a lot of reds and grays are mixed in with the black. Mommy thinks I'm a black smoke tortie Maine Coon. I have all the traits of a Maine Coon and talk like one and am BIG for an almost 9 month old kitten. Just imagine how big I'll be when I'm a year old!!!

Anyway, that's about it. I got to take a nap.

Purrs & Breeps,

Jossi O'Floofy

SOOO, I'M NOW JOSSI O'FLOOFY!

Mommy is so silly! She now is calling me "Jossi O'Floofy" for St. Patrick's Day! She normally does call me "Jossi" a lot anyway.

Also, one of our dear friends named HOOCH (I've heard of him, but never met him) made his journey to the Bridge a couple days ago. He always was good to my brothers and angel sis Cammie Rose. I send my soft whispery purrs to his family at this sad time. RIP, dear Hooch.

Lastly, the weather is getting warmer. I saw a lot yellow flowers in full bloom along side of the neighbor's fence when I looked out the window this morning (Mommy says they're called daffodils). I'm all excited about spring time!

Jossi O'Floofy
