Today, Mom was looking at Jayne Mansfield pics when she seen a Pride and Prejudice pic Mom oh look, clicked on it and Bam! IE warnings popping up every 2 min. Mom ran 3 different malware ans spyware searches. We got hit by two different Trojans! We found a couple adwares too. Everything is fine now. But it wasted two whole hours that Mom could have, and wanted to change our pages. The Mansfield pic is for Zach's page.
Yeah, Mom has had that happen when she searches for photos. Once in a while when you click on a photo there's some nasty malevolent thing attached to it. Grrrr.... I love your new name, Zoe Kona Sunshine :) Mom has this program and she loves it the best of all she's tried! Malwarebytes She used to use the free version but the pro version was only $20 and she likes it alot! We used that, spybot and super anti spyware. The spybot did nothing. The super anti caught one trojan and two adware but we were still getting warnings so we ran Malewarebytes and it caught the other trojan. All we've got is the free version but it works great! Get the pro version Zach! For $20 you can't go wrong. That's cheap for such a great program and now you don't have to update it yourself, it does it automatically. Other ones are so super expensive. Glad everything was able to be fixed! But that still stinks. Oh wow I am so glad everything is ok. I love your new pic! Your BFF I'm glad your puter is fixed. dddy's fighting it too! Do you run any live protection? That's what we do plus free ones like Ad Aware and Ad Block. It's expensive but it alerts us immediately and blocks the malware, sypware, etc. It scans email attachments so I know they're safe to open. It scans website links when I do google searches. Sometimes everything goes into action and we've had as many as 4 different warnings at one time! We used to have free protection only and mommy fried and killed her computer, even after running some those free programs to clean things up. We're now cautious about going on sites like Photobucket and completely avoid Imikimi. But we even get alerts and blocks when we're on Catster, esp. on the weekends, and that makes us very nervous too. Love your new name Zoe Kona Sunshine! Hugs, Kaci Malwarebytes cleared daddy's tpp...14 trojans and spyware. He now uses it and AVG only!!! Mom's laptop was purchased in Nov. after the old one was fried. So, Mom is trying to be more cautious now too. We have adblock too. Virus's! Gosh 'n pooey! Iz no fun! I hope it's werkin' ok now! Mom is so thankfur dat Simone 'n River mentioned Avira! IT's really werkin' good fur us 'n scans 'n gets rid of those nasty malware's 'n trojan horsies! We got hit when mom went to some pishure site too. I lubbs ur new name 'n ur page looks really great!!! Purrs 'n hugs, MILO Hey everybody Tigger sent me a note that Nuk Anuk told him Wonder Backgrounds are infected Malware. So be careful! I had gotten his background from there and it was fine till today, so I erased them from my bookmarks. Thanks Milo, I love the beach scenes. |
