Hey guess what? I got to meet River & Simone's mommy and daddy today. Lacey ran for the back of the couch before they ever came in and I hid in my tower. Then they came to see me and bring us prezzies but mom had to go and spoil it by trying to yank me out. That did it! She should have left me alone in there but she wanted River's daddy to see what a big boy I am. He got to see it alright. I came out and ran off the tower, did the old lickity split and ran for the other room to join Lacey in back of the couch, MOL. Sorry mommy, you should have let me be!!!
That's wonderful that your mommies got to meet! It's too bad you and Lacey ran for the hills, but that's pretty normal; my siblings would do that too! Over the years, Buddy, Bob and I were the only ones to welcome visitors. :) Purrs, Tigger Hi Tig! Yeah, I tried to be brave but it was a no go. Maybe if I'd seen them before I would have stayed out. :) I know they understood, being cat lovers and all! Yeah, we know too. Still mom wishes she could have shown us off. She even brushed us nice and made us all purrty for their visit. Oh Finny Im so glad your mommy had visitors. Dont feel bad, I always hide too! So if Mommy ever wants to 'show me off' to someone, she puts my harness on me and then I have to stay out! Once shes done with that or if she thinks Im getting too unhappy she takes me to my safe room and lets me out of my harness. It is kinda funny, even to me, MOL- because it does make me a little braver. Now Misty is more of the kind of kitty who will climb up your leg to your shoulder to welcome you kind of cat. So sometimes she gets put in her harness just to prevent that from happening, MOL! AnnaBelle from what Simone's mommy said, all you have to do is walk into their house and Simone wants a belly rub from anyone she meets! MOL. She's brave! Bob was like that. He even headbutted a repair man one time! MOL Now that's scary! I would never do that! MOL Both Juliette and I need to know who enters our home and we inspect them over and over again....You, guys, are big cats and shouldn't be afraid. Your mom wanted to show you off because you are so beautiful!....Glad to hear that the visit went well. --The only time that we saw other cat friends was when Ben was given his wings. We saw the Diabetes group from Boston at a Mexican restaurant and we gave them Ben's things. It was a sweet and sad day. Ben would have been glad..... Oh Misty was trying to headbutt the repair man's hammer one time, while the hammer was being used to put nails in place! She had to be put someplace safe so she didnt get her nose hit, MOL. Sounds like Simone and Misty are both very brave. Oh that sounds nice Alexander. Bittersweet for your mom. You guys are brave!!! Misty and Simone too. I guess I am a big chicken! MOL. I'm the bigger hidey kitty, here, though Pipo will go and peer out from a safe spot, so he can hide if need be... you did just the right thing, and once when I got lured out of hiding against my wishes I even scratched meowmy, MOL. Served her right. Only Simba and Toki were brave souls who had to check all company and inspect the things they brought in with them, or even help, esp the piano tuner, MOL! Meowmy hasn't met any kitty peeps, but she has met a dog-guy pals furmily...its a lot of fun! MOL, sounds like Simba and Toki were definitely brave. Not me! Bak bak baaaaaaak. MOL. Pipo mommy loved it, she said it was great. I'm glad she had fun though and got to meet them. I'm so glad they got a chance to meet. That is pawesome! Rusty and I like company, everybody else runs and either hides or finds a spot where they can spy on the goings on! I like company too! Do you know what I like best about them? It is strange but I love the smell of leather. If the ladies would sit there purses down on the floor I would be practically drooling over them rubbing my face all over the bag. Shoes can be pretty good too. MOL Mrs. Murphy!! That's so funny. You are another brave kitty Skylar. Jeez, mom wishes we would have been more brave. She feels bad that they couldn't meet me and Lacey. Although they did get to see me, plus my backside. MOL My mommy just emailed me and told me how silly you looked running from the room Finney! hehehe! I tried not to laugh too hard cause I'm a very shy boy myself. Simone's super duper braves, she's too braves! My mommy had a great visit, she's very happy she got to meet your mommy even if it was for only a little while. Next time they'll stay longer, or you should all come to CA and sun your bellies here! hehehehe! Finney bellies? Where? Glad your mommy got to meet them! I bet was fun fur yer mommy meetin' River & Simone's mommy & daddy. Mama meeted my daddy (when she comed & getted me), but he's a on'y Catster peeple she meeted. That sounds like so much, for the mommies! Meep is the big hidey scaredy cat and won't come out from his hiding spot for a long long time if he doesn't know the peeps. I am the guard cat and sit up on the cable box and watch everyone, but run away if anyone goes near me. One repairman came in and saw me leap away and he said "I saw that--quick as lightning!" Oh boy! Here comes the River teasing, MOL. Yup, that was me, showing my floofy feet and bum running for the hills. What can I say? Simone YOU can see my belly but unfortunately I was not brave enough to show your mommy. Sounds like we have quite a lot of brave kitties here but also hidey kitties like me. Usually I am not this bad but mom had to go and yank me out of my tower. IT'S MY MOMMY'S FAULT! I'm a big 'ol scaredy cat too! I would RUN in a New York minute, you'd just see a FLASH go by as I fly down the hall!! Now my sisfur, (who's at the RB now) Snickey would be up in yer face, and a-rubbin' on ya, and sayin' "come here, come here, come pet me...me...me!" I don't know how she did it!! She just wubbed efferyone!!! Wiff out even a-mettin' dem before!! Not me.....no way!!! BonBon Thanks BonnieBell, I'm glad I am not the only one running! MOL. They didn't even get to see Lacey. Mom was gonna close the living room door so she couldn't run but she didn't have a chance to do that before Lacey scooted off. So great you got to meet River's Mom. Don't worry about running away, Teebo and I get scared of new people too. Thanks Callie, I appreciate that! Oh we all do the same thing, what is it about us kitties that run & hide when someone comes to our houses...the only cats Mom has had that never were hiders were Tallulah and another kitty named Chunk...both of them loved to be out...not the rest of us...we are not sure about Kody... We are so happy you got to meet River's Mom & Dad...Mom got to meet Chai Latte's Mom & Dad last year..we to would love to meet other cat Moms and Dads Kody's probably too young to be scared yet. I was never like this before. I used to love to be out and about with people, didn't matter who. Even Lacey was better before. Then we got a little older and more skittish. Mom wishes we were more like we were when we were younger and more social. How nice... I would be the first to greet a guest at the door. But I understand that not every fur is like that. Sure that your Mommy loved it. Aw Biggles you are braver than I am buddy. My mommy is HOME!!! And she says you are very handsome Finney, even when you are running and sliding on your poofy toes... but I'm glad you ran and hid, that way mommy came back to ME! Her BABY BOY!!! I GOTS MY MOMMY BACK!!! Yayyyy!!! Glad to hear it River. I'll bet you missed her something awful. Glad I could make your mommy laugh while she was here. MOL I haven't stopped hugging her since she came back. GREAT BIG RIVER HUGS!!! She's got so much to catch up on, but ME FIRST! Simone practically got into bed last night before they even had a chance too! She was so eager for snuggles! Awwwwww, you're both so cute. I love me some Moe Moe Toes and Happy River Dances. When your mommy has a chance, tell her to read my mommy's latest blog entry. She'll like it. |
