Why is my usually loud cat so scared and quiet?

Our female outside cat used to be loud, wouldn't let us do ANYTHING she didn't like. Like LOUD. Meowed for attention, got in our faces.

As of about 4-5 days ago she's gone quiet, barely meowing ever. She's acting like she doesn't care about anything now, she doesn't push her head into our hands or against us as much. She's not as responsive as before, barely glancing up when we call her, if at all.

Coming inside more (where have 7 inside cats) we believe she's been exposed to WAY more fleas than before. We don't know if that would do something like this. And we wondered if it was that she was constipated.

There are no physical signs that we can see that she'd gotten hurt. No scratches. But she's been putting her tail between her legs (she never has before) and a few days before this change to being so quiet she was having some trouble jumping onto the bed/couch with are both about 2 feet from the ground. We thought it was strange and someone remarked that she'd "forgotten how to ca

She sounds like she is not feeling well. Hopefully she does not have anything contagious since you exposed her to your other cats. Bring her to the vet; hopefully it's not serious. If she is dying at least she won't have to suffer that way, since you don't know how old she is. ^_^
