WE HAD A CAT WHO WENT MISSING 2 WEEKS AGO.WE FOUND HER 4 DAYS LATER BUT BECAUSE SHE WAS UNWELL SHE WAS VERY POORLY

OUR CAT WENT MISSING 2 WEEKS AGO AND WE DID GET HER BACK 4 DAYS LATER. SHE DID HAVE KIDNEY DISEASE AND GINGIVITUS AND WHEN WE GOT HER BACK SHE WAS SO THIN AND WEAK. MY QUESTION IS WHY, WHEN SHE GOT BACK IN THE HOUSE, POORLY AND WEAK AS SHE WAS, DID SHE HEAD STRAIGHT FOR THE WINDOW SHE ALWAYS USED TO GO IN AND OUT WHICH FORTUNATELY I HAD CLOSED. FROM THEN ON SHE JUST SAT NEAR THE DOOR WAITING FOR IT TO OPEN. THE FOLLOWING DAY I TOOK HER TO OUR VET WHO PUT HER ON A DRIP, BUT UNFORTUNATELY SHE DIDN'T SURVIVE. ANYBODY KNOW WHY SHE WANTED TO GET AWAY AGAIN AS SHE HAS NEVER LEFT BEFORE.

Cats (and dogs) go away to die. If she had her way you probably would not have found her again. They do this when they know it is their time... they are able to know and want to be alone to rest in peace. Don't feel bad; it's instinctual. ^_^ When you're ready there are plenty of homeless kitties available who would like to live with you and be pals...
