Well, you just got your kitten yesterday! Give it plenty of time to adjust. She'll come around when she chooses to. You just have to be kind, patient, and not too in-her-face.
Take your time! Don't stress out just yet. The kitten has just been whisked away from it's home with it's brothers & sisters and dropped in an unfamiliar place. The little one is probably scared and trying to work out it's new surroundings.
Be patient and take your time with the little one. :) Let them come to you and feed them little treats to entice them closer. Try enticing them with string, too! It may be a week before the baby starts feeling comfortable in it's surroundings.
I always suggest that when people get a new pet they keep it in one room of the house for a week until it feels up to exploring. That way it gets used to sound, smells and people at its own pace.

When i was a little kitten I had to stay in an empty bedroom when no one was home so I didn't get into trouble. I used to hide whenever someone would come home and let me out. The apartment seemed so big and scarey. I missed my cat mom and littermates but as every day went by I got more and more comfortable with my human family and the apartment.
