When there is a change in behavior, especially in a senior cat, (your cat is 70 in human years), we need to contact the vet. When a cat's personality changes, it could mean a number of things. There might even be a stray cat outside that she sees and you don't notice. But, the reason is likely health-related. Cats do suffer from dementia-like conditions. She could come into a room and forget where she's at. If she does it at night, she could be scared. She could be having difficulty seeing or hearing. She may be in pain or just not feeling well and trying to let you know. In any case, at least phone her vet and tell them what's going on. She needs to be examined.
