My cat has red pufy and itchy eyes.

Lately, my cat's eyes have been red and turn puffy when he itches them. But what causes the redness/itchiness?

It's difficult to tell without seeing him, and keep in mind that we are not vets here, but it sounds like allergies or conjunctivitis (pink eye). The redness/itchiness is inflammation brought on by whatever ails his eyes. Please take him to your vet for an accurate diagnoses as this could cause blindness if not treated.

Izzies right, it sounds like conjunctavitis and you need to take him to a vet. They'll be able to confirm what it is and will probably give you some antibiotic eye drops to fix the problem. Don't leave it as it won't get better on its own and he could permanently damage his eyes by rubbing at them.
