			<p>You don't say if your cat had/has an injury to his paw or what happened.  If he is hurt and the injury is so bad that it now smells, then he needs to go to the vet as soon as possible. You really can't clean it and take care of the infection, which may spread to other parts of his body, including his blood. If he is hurt and his paw is sore, he is not going to let you clean it without a fight. He needs medical attention.  <br /><br />
