What you are describing is natural cat behavior. There are lots of interesting things for Sidney up in the tree like birds and other animals, and from there she can survey her "queendom". Trying to keep Sidney out of the tree is kind of like trying to keep those same squirrels out of a birdfeeder. There are lots of things you can try, including putting a "baffle" or garbage can lid with a hole in the middle around the trunk of the tree if the tree is small enough, but Sidney, like the squirrels, will find a way around it. As she grows, she will probably start climbing the fence as well. Your only alternative is to keep her safe inside your home.
