How much water do I mix in my cat's dry food to moisten it for her temporarily?
My cat was hospitalized for pancreatitis. She was on IV fluid. For two days after coming home, she was on soft canned food. Now, she does not seem too interested in her hard food. The hospital emergency room suggested mixing water in it. Question: How much? Thanks.

If you're feeding a quarter cup of food, about a quarter cup of water should be enough. The basic rule I use is try to fill the bowl with enough water to just barely cover the food with water to let enough absorb.
