Can cats have peanuts? I dropped one on the floor and my cat Kayto ate it right up like it was a treat.

Peanuts are not toxic to cats, but are not good either since they are high in fat and salt. A cat's diet should be close to what they'd eat in the wild, and that doesn't include nuts.

Don't go out of your way to feed your kitty nuts, but if she/he eats one, it's OK.

Peanuts should not be given to cats. They cannot digest it like humans can. Hopefully, Kayto will not have a tummy ache (or worse problem) from eating the peanut. In the future, keep the peanuts away from your kitty.
