My cat is 6-7 years old, she has been with us for about 9 monts now and settled in extremely well, but recently within the last 4 weeks she has become very skittish and darts all over the place, if i am not stood next to her when she eats she takes one bite before she runs off as if she no longer knows where she is, she has a hidy whole that she constantly darts back too every time she has one of these moments, she stopped coming and sitting on my lap and would not leave certain spots or rooms and if she did she acted like she was terrified, she also went through a space of time where she refused to leave the bathroom and would freak if she was brought out, please help, i need to know if i should take her into the vets asap or not

Whenever there is a sudden change in behavior, such as you have seen in your previously calm cat, Catsters always recommend at least a call to the vet's. Even if her issues are mental and not physical, the vet can help you get to the bottom of what's causing her trauma. If she was formerly social and settled in as you wrote, then something is going on with her. When you talk with your vet, by telling them about your lifestyle and when this occured, they will be able to pinpoint the reason for the change in behavior and tell you what to do.
