I dropped out of school as a teenager and eventually got my GED and enrolled in community college before earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees as a single parent. I like saying that I am a high school dropout as well as a college graduate!
I discovered my passion for homeless animals a couple of years ago. My pets have brought a lot of joy to my children and myself. I am a strong advocate for animal rescue and adoption; I would like to see sliding scale veterinary clinics in every community to help make pet ownership more affordable for everyone.
