Full Name: Kate Benjamin Location: Phoenix, Arizona (It’s a dry heat) Where You Can Find Me on the Internet: You can see all of my latest feline design finds on, plus follow me on FacebookTwitterPinterest, and Instagram. What I Do for Fun: When I’m not obsessing over the latest fancy cat bed, tower or litter box, or building a cat superhighway at my house or at a client’s, I enjoy listening to live local music and hitting the thrift shops in search of funky finds that can be converted into chic cat creations. The Furry Members of My Household Are: There’s quite a crew (I’m a terrible foster failure!) Simba, Ando, Mackenzie, Dazzler, Andy, Sherman, McKinley, Bear, Sylvia, Lilly, and Margot enjoy our Catified condo in Central Phoenix, and Mama Cat and Claude keep me company at my design studio in downtown Phoenix. My Favorite Things to Write About Are: The hottest designs finds for cats and the people who love them. If it’s cool and it’s for cats, I will find it! My Pet Peeve Is: People who say “It’s just a cat, it doesn’t need anything special.” Really? Get to know a cat and you’ll understand that they aren’t aloof and disinterested at all. Cats need physical and mental challenges like toys and places to climb in order for their personalities to shine through. My Guilty Pleasures Are: Teenybopper pop music and animal prints. How I Deal with Cat Hair: If I have to be cat hair-free, I get dressed and try to dash out the door as quickly as possible (not always easy!) Otherwise, wear it with pride! What I Want to Be When I Grow Up: The coolest cat lady around.
