Arrival Story:
My human thought she was ... *looks to make sure no one is listening* ... a dog-person. She met me at the local Humane Society on December 10, 2005. My mommy tells me that as soon as she walked into the room where us cats were, she only had eyes for me! =^.^= I know I was calling her over with my little right paw, reaching out through my cage. Before being 'baptised' as Pai Mei, I was #387. I was purr, purr, purring the whole time she held me during our first encounter ... and have been purring ever since. She adopted me and was able to take me home with her the following Monday. My mommy is really happy with me and asks herself why she hadn't adopted a cat before -- silly human!

Bio:
I earn my stay by being the in-house exterminator and quality control inspector. Who needs Raid when you have such a talented roach-hunter like me? As for the water, whenever the sink is in use, I jump up and paw at it, giving it a test to make sure it is of top quality for washing and drinking purposes!

The dreaded "D" word

There's a certain "D" word my parents keep mentioning around me ... sounds something like "dye-it." What's wrong with my coat color? I'm a lovely orange-and-cream! Why would they want me to "dye-it"?

Not your typical bookworm

My mom prides herself in being a bookworm - she's always immerseing herself in a book! Afterall, large portions of her salary go into buying them ... instead of toys for me! I, on the otherhand, am another kind of bookworm, the kind that eats paper! I love anything that sticks out from the side of a book, like a Post-It or tab! Yum yum!

Hey! That's not a Compaq Presario!

Yesterday morning, my mom came home to find me very curious about what was under the bed. My dad had stopped by and brought me my half-brother, Presario, to meet and play with. He was very shy, finding himself at a new place and with a new cat. I tried to be as friendly as I could, but he just hid under the bed most of the morning. Throughout the day, Presario slowly got to coming around, to the point where I could approach him and he wouldn't dash off to hide. When he left this morning for his home, we had developed our kitty-bond such that we were playing a shy variation of 'tag' =^.^= When our dad wasn't around, Presario would find comfort in the presence of my mom, the only familiar face around! I guess I got to work on my kitty manners!
