UPDATE: February 26, 2026 – GO Raw LLC. Expands Voluntary Recall of Quest Diet Cat Food Products Due to Low Thiamine Levels and Enacts Stop Sale of All Quest Products. 

February 17, 2026 – Go Raw, LLC launched a voluntary recall of a single lot of Quest Cat Food Chicken Recipe Freeze Dried Nuggets (10 oz bag), distributed across ten states. This action follows a confirmed report of illness and subsequent testing that revealed thiamine (Vitamin B1) levels below the required amounts for a feline diet.

The Go Raw LLC recall is now being EXPANDED to include the following additional lots after confirmed reports of illness and subsequent testing that revealed thiamine (Vitamin B1) levels below the required amounts for a feline diet.

The expanded recalled products were distributed through retail stores in the following states: CO, UT, WA, OR, PA, RI, MI, CA, TX, IL, GA, NC, SC, FL, MN, NY, OH, WI, PA, ID & MT.

The recalled product is sold in zip-lock beige, 2 lb. Packages with a purple stripe, UPC 6-91730-17104-9, and printed Lot code and Best By Date can be found on the front of the bag. Please note this product is frozen.

Handling Dangers & Precautions

If you bought these products, take immediate action:

  • Do not feed this product to your pets or any animals.
  • Do not sell or donate the recalled bags.
  • Return the food to where you bought it, or dispose of it safely so that children, pets, and wildlife cannot access it.

Thiamine Deficiency & Health Risks

Thiamine (Vitamin B1) is essential for cats. Cats fed diets low in thiamine over time may be at risk for developing a deficiency. If treated promptly, thiamine deficiency is typically reversible.

Early Symptoms in Cats:

  • Decreased appetite, salivation, vomiting, failure to grow, weight loss

Advanced Symptoms – Contact a Veterinarian Immediately:

  • Ventroflexion (bending of the neck toward the floor), mental dullness, vision changes, wobbly walking, circling, falling, and seizures

To date, the company has received one confirmed report of illness associated with the recalled product. The affected cat was treated by a veterinarian and has fully recovered.
