Hey. :3 This is Emmy, reporting from behind the computer. My human has a question - her cello instructor also has a Siamese (named Wolfy of all things - oh, it's short for Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Sheesh, who names their cat something so rediculous? He smells nice...oops, got off topic there). Anyhow, he had to have his fur shaved off of his shoulder to have something done, and when the fur grew back, it was dark.

My human tells me that this is because we get color points when our skin gets cold, but wants to know if Wolfy will ever get his fur back to normal again. Thanks if ya help!

thinkingI don't think so but you never know. My human once met a dog that got a broken leg because she was hit by a car as a puppy. The fur over the place where her leg had been broken was grew back white instead of black.

I had the fur shaved off my hind quarter when I was young, for a surgery on my knee. The fur grew back in a different color. Now Mom can't remember if it was darker or lighter -- it was almost 17 years ago. But it eventually became the same color as the rest of my fur -- I think it happened gradually as I shed those hairs and grew new ones a second time.
