Rescue, Adoption & Happy Endings > SHELTER AND RESCUE ADOPTION RULES??

Miss Daisy I'm a happy- girl!     Purred: Fri Jun 4, '10 6:31am PST  It's sort of an unofficial rule at one of the shelters where Meowmy volunteers...no baby kittens 2-3 months old with toddlers. Most toddlers only want a stuffed toy kitten. Real kittens are fragile at this age. Every once in a while...our director will allow it. However, in these very rare instances... it's a stay-at-home Mom with older kids. The older kids have to have experience with animals and our director will talk with the whole family including Mom and Dad and all the kids together about kitten safety. As near as we can figure out you have to click on Community to find out anything. We miss having our furiends...COTD...Cat Diary of the Day...right on the front page when we log in.
