Jade I am a- fighter!!!!     Purred: Thu Sep 20, '07 4:55pm PST  Well, I have had bad reaction to my vaccine I had this morning. My doctor thought that I was well enough to finally start getting my shots, but I guess I wasn't. Hi all, Jade had a bad reaction to her shots. She is lethargic, will not eat and she is running a fever again. Bless her heart, I hate it for her. I took her back to the vet and he gave her a steroid shot to counter act the reaction. She still has a fever. He is hoping that she will go ahead and pull through this quickly. Right now she is in a lot of pain from the steroid shot. If I try to move her she just cries. Has anyone experienced bad reactions to shots before. I am thinking that the autoimmune disorder that she has is the reason she reacted so badly to the shot. Cat Health > My doctor said I am much better!!!

Jade I am a- fighter!!!!     Purred: Thu Sep 20, '07 9:14am PST  My mommy took me to my doctor today. He said that I am doing great. I have gained about 1 lb in a week. This is great because I have been so sick that I had stopped eating. Now, I eat all the time. He decided not to do blood work today. He wants to wait until I get even stronger. He doesn't want to chance that after he would draw blood that I would become anemic again. I am so glad that my mommy loves me. Jade I am a- fighter!!!!     Purred: Tue Sep 18, '07 4:17am PST  Using the bathroom all over the house was my mommy's first sign that I was getting sick. Then sure enough I became so sick that I needed a blood transfusion. Hi, this is Jade's mommy. Keep watching them for any indications that one of them is not feeling well. Jade was a happy 6 week old kitten one minute then fell deathly ill the next. I did notice that she was using the bathroom all over the house. That was the first sign. Cat Health > Blood Transfusion in 6 week old kitten

Jade I am a- fighter!!!!     Purred: Sat Sep 15, '07 1:22pm PST  Hi all. This is my first time posting. I adopted 2 kittens from and animal shelter. One of them, Jade got very sick after I had her for about a week. To make a long story short, she ended up with a blood transfusion. She was doing much better, then developed a limp and and high fever of 104.7 and bloody loose stools. She has some form of an auto immune disorder. We still do not know what. Has anybody been through this before and can you add some words of wisdom for me. I love this littler girl and will do what ever I have to to make sure she gets the care that she needs.
