Funny - There's a box here too, which is full of clawholes and chewed up. I want to throw it away, but the cats still really enjoy it so I can't! We've also thrown some thin noisy paper in it, so it makes plenty of more noise. We find chards of paper/cardboard all over. Looks like a great game to me! Sometimes treats are thrown in under the paper too.....
My cats also enjoy tearing apart store receipts.

Patchess & Dallia sniffed noses tonight, they are still doing well together since her name reverted to Patchess.
I tried an animal communication course: a woman was giving a session on it at a petstore. I took my mom's dog, at the time about 5years old. Somehow the communicator chose mom's dog Nelli and asked for the dog's name. (I bit my tongue to say, "ask her yourself!") They communicated and the woman told me that Nelli's favorite activity was to sit on the sofa with its draped wool rug next to my mom while watching TV.
My mom was thrilled to hear that, though skeptical.
My H said that I had told the woman clues about Nelli's homelife and she expounded on them; or that she could tell from my clothing about Nelli's homelife. Well, the woman asked me no other questions; and I intentionally wore a sweatsuit.

Patchess at 3years, sniffs the canned food and turns away. The only thing she'll eat is Wellness kibbles.
Good luck.

Didn't know there was a torbie, a tortie with white, and a calico! Thanks!
Does Catster have a Calicos/Tortie Group?
I'd join!

Behavior & Training > Kitten playing with her poo!!

Punishing a cat by putting a nose in the poop/pee will not work, and will only teach it to be afraid of you.
I think it takes the poop out because it wants a clean litter box. Best way to fight this behaviour is to scoop the poop immediately! (You are their servant after all; what's that saying "Dogs have I-forget-what; cats have servants"! Never mind that you have a private life!) Cats are fastidious in wanting clean litter boxes!

Hi - Good idea to keep him indoors only. With proper training & socialisation he'd be a great therapy cat. Many rehab centers adopt handicapped pets to inspire their children to lead normal lives.
I think the white fur/blue eyes makes deafness by genetics, like most calicos are female.

Does the Advantix for dogs say it is also for cats? I thought all those medicines were species specific. Cats are more sensitive than dogs.
Fleas can live for weeks without a feeding, so you'll have to be really vigilant about getting rid of them. When I adopted many of my cats, I combed them several times a day, and vacuumed as well. Thankfully I never needed flea sprays, powder, or bombs.
Fleas also carry tapeworms, so look out for rice-looking things wherever kitty is.

Found this post after I read the post from someone moving and being allowed to bring 1 cat. I've been thinking about this all day. What if the condo I live in (I own it and my cats never go outside), the Condo Council decided on a 5cat rule per unit. If Suli were alive today she'd be living with me for 20years so giving her up would be a no. Dallia's been here 11years and a scaredy-cat so that wouldn't work for her. Emma's been here 10years, we love to snuggle with her so that wouldn't work for us. Pixi is our little panther with dainty paws and loves to snuggle so.... HappiCat needs her daily Lysine & so that wouldn't work. Patchess & Jarai have taken a long time to get used to us so how could they go to someone new. These are all excuses because there's no way I could give any of them up for any reason. Even through a long unemployment, my cats stayed with me. So not even for a couple million dollars, either. My cats are one reason I want to move - where I can give them (& me!) more sunny windows, & kitty TV.

Yes animals can sense that another one's sick; and for Maggie May I think it didn't help that she's been sequestered and maybe they forgot who she was, especially if they were never buddies to start with. I guess introducing her from square one, as though she were a new cat would've been the way to go.
Make good things happen when they're together - treats, games, always supervise them when they're together etc. It'll take the boys time to readjust to her.
Good luck!
